I have two JL Audio 12W6 v3 subs. I had them in a ported box, but due to the variety of the music I listen to, the ported box was way too "boomy." It hit hard, but since no one masters tracks at similar balance and volumes, some tracks would sound really great, then another would have so much base, I was constantly adjusting the bass control on my Fosgate T1500.1. I mean the boom was strong enough to break my rear view mirror from the windshield three times, with the last time taking the glass with it.Enter the idea of a sealed box. While I get less vehicles shaking bass, I get considerably clearer thumps from the kick drums in metal, to a great clear boom from rap and hip hop. This box is very well constructed, the perfect size, packages really well, and arrived a week and a half earlier than projected. I got it in three days rather than the two weeks quoted.IF you want or need a nice compact box, and your subs need about 1.1 cubic feet of air space per sub, this is the box you need. With the displacement of the sub considered of course. Keep in mind, you do lose about 10Hz in the low end going to a sealed box, but boy it's made a world of a difference.

I put 2 12” Comp Rs and the box is very well made and it does sound great! I do think that if it had just a little more air space per side that I could get a little better sound from the box. I’m not a fan of ported boxes and just prefer the sound of the sealed enclosure the bass is much tighter in a sealed enclosure.I just wish it was a little bigger box. But well satisfied with the box and it’s overall quality and the look is great as well. Thank you very much Linton Taylor.

Almost perfect. Great value!Gotta say, this is possibly the 1st prefab box I've purchased that didn't require lots of work to make perfect. I didn't "need" to caulk the joints, as they were all pretty well glued, but I already had my caulking tube loaded up, so I sealed it extra tight to be safe. Two Infinity Kappa 1200Ws in this box sound FANTASTIC.The specs claim 1.23 cu ft per side, but the interior measures 12.5x12.5x12.5 (which comes out to 1.13 cu ft, almost PERFECT for the Kappa 1200w).Do note, the hole for a Kappa 1200w is slightly larger than standard, but I was able to fit the speakers with minimal effort and a little trimming of the holes.Overall appearance is TOP NOTCH, aside from the metal logo on the box.Would DEFINITELY recommend to anyone looking for a good prefab sealed enclosure.

I've spent 7 months with this and let me just say my 1200W Alpine Type-R is still a rock solid combo. This port completely rattles my back windshield and dash mirror when the bass hits. Literally cannot see when it happens. I had it in a cheaper sealed enclosure before, and this makes a HUGE difference. What I like:- Made from MDF- Bass is.. just absolutely phenomenal- Solid, heavy as hell once a sub is in. Get some velcro hooks and put it on the bottom it holds no problem.- Easy threading into the MDF and a solid hold- Price is pretty cheap for a nice enclosure like thisWhat I didn't like:- I think it was the glue + fresh MDF because this thing has the weirdest scent. It aired out after 2 months of blasting air out of it but pheeew especially on a hot summer day like when I first received it. I would hop in my VW GTI and get burned while 'smelling' hot glue and MDF.- Had quite a bit of foam padding inside, had to cut some out to wire my subwoofer at a different ohm.Things to take away: BUY BUY BUY! It's a solid steal if you're like me and spent too much on the subwoofer and are kicking ourselves because of it. The pros outweigh the cons in my opinion.

Very nice enclosure. Got this to sit behind the 3rd row in a 2009 Chevy Tahoe. It fits perfectly between the handles of the 3rd row seats where there is only 19.25 inches to work with. I chose this box based on that measurement. I was more drawn to the enclosures that used 3/4" MDF for the face as this one uses 5/8" all around. That was only a minor drawback and was outweighed by the fact that is was black and fit. Also the plug was on the Right side if facing the box which is were my amp sits so another win. I installed an Alpine Type R 12 inch sub and push power to it with an Alpine mono block 500 watt amp and it sounds good. I was unable to crank it being a new sub it needs to break in for a couple weeks before I run real power to it. My initial evaluation is for the size of this box is allows for decent low end, works for me however I am not looking to shake the house. Just wanted full spectrum sound for my wife to blast her hit list music. The Blowes I mean Bose 10 speaker system is fugazi, even with the Luxury 5.1 amp it comes up short. What is the saying, no highs no lows must be Bose. Well after changing 9 of the 10 speakers (left the 5 1/4 inch factory Bose sub alone as it seemed well built with dual voice coils and rubber surround. Figured it would be good for mid bass, cause it sure as hell was not cutting it as the sub. After weeks of trial and errors trying to match the ohms Dr. Bose designed this system to run at and the addition of this enclosure with a real sub the sound is good for now. If I could do it again I would have ripped out the Bose everything and gone with another Alpine 5 channel amp in addition to the Alpine mono block. I already replaced the Factory navi head unit with a Rosen Carshow so things were easier then it would have been had the stock HU been involved. Point of this review was to convey this box gets it done and it well built. The rest was me on a good one, like anyone cares what I did with my Tahoe.
