I needed to get rid of my stained, old, broken plastic colander and a professional cook I trust implicitly said this is the one to have! It drains fast, as the bottom is lifted on a sturdy base, and never feels tippy. The 5 qt capacity is enough to handle a slew of pasta, berries, etc. It’s a great buy, too. And it looks soooo much better than that plastic thing I was using.

This quickly drains the liquid from pasta, potatoes, wildrice, or any food! Very sturdy as it is commercial grade. Love it!

So I always thought a strainer was just a strainer, always had cheapy ones from Dollar Tree like places. This one is perfect...it's stainless steel, the holes are small, you can wash anything in it and drain the water. It washes easily, I've had no problems cleaning this one, stuff slides off. I love the non toxic, the fact that it's metal I don't have to worry if I leave it too close to a hot burner, boiling water is not going to disfigure it. It's durable and the 5 Qt size is perfect for a large pot of pasta. I will not ever go with another strainer. I bought this one as a 2nd one for a gift.

Much sturdier than the Farberware set I previously bought, I think they will probably need to be washed immediately after straining anything starchy like pasta, as the holes are very small and if the starch dries I imagine it would be difficult to clean. I like them, after a trial with carrots, it drains well and gets the job done without any food loss.

Very generously sized, this colander is just perfect: a healthy alternative to plastic, well worth the price, easy to clean and the holes are the perfect size to accommodate any kind of pasta or grain. I highly recommend it.

we've only used it for a few weeks, but we use it A LOT. it's a sturdy metal (strainer & handles), which is great for literally everything from a crap load of pasta or over 4 pounds of hamburger & onions, without ANYTHING falling out. I know this isn't a thing for most people, but I'm actually able to use it with one hand (occasionally), rather than always needing two.. I like having a hand available to maneuver other things or do other things. it has a sturdy bottom as well!what I like most, so far, is the rim! it's nice and tight to the strainer and nothing has gotten stuck up under it yet (like the cheaper, more popular mesh strainers).Overall, after going through a variety of cheap/expensive or plastic/metal strainers over the years.. this seems to be the one for me. Light enough, but also heavy duty. The strainer holes are not too big or small. it's just perfect.Will update if things go sideways, but it's pretty solid workmanship.We'd definitely buy thing again, if we needed another, or were looking for a gift for literally anyone who uses a strainer.

Este colador es excelente, ahora que lo tengo he desechado algunos de plástico que no tienen nada que ver en la cocina, atrévase a usarlo y verá la diferencia!!! Calidad!!
