This is the first threaded steering wheel cover I’ve installed, and it might be the last. With that said, maybe I should have waited a few weeks before writing this. The cover itself is good material, the instructions are good, including links to videos. The instructions does say to set aside a few hours for installation. A few hours to me is about 3, which actually took me about twice that. Granted it’s my first one, so there’s a learning curve, and I’m very meticulous. After my first attempt at it, I ended up poking an awl through the holes to open them up a little more. Also, when I tightened the thread and let go of it the steering wheel expanded and loosened the threads. I ended up using zip ties as I went to hold the threads snug. Once it was installed, I have to say it looks really nice and I like the feel of it. My hands are sore. Time will tell on the quality and if I would consider doing it again.

Product was packaged pretty well. Slight downside to vacuum packaging is the leather has some creases where it was folded. Seems like they should work their way out though. Quality was better than I expected. Leather was soft and thick. Install directions were pretty straight forward and easy to follow. Took me about 1 hour from start to finish. Looks and feels great on the steering wheel of my 62 Thunderbird and it made the wheel a bit thicker and easier to grip too. Overall a great product.

Looks and feels great, you have to be a little patient and diligent to install but the results are worth it. came with 3 sets of lacing and 3 needles, only needed one.

Bought this for my company Kenworth T800. Needed a quality leather cover for a 15 year old steering wheel. Measured the diameter and the circumference of the wheel handle itself to order the correct item number. The unit arrived quickly. The leather was thick and looked to be of high quality. The 18” wrap fit snugly and came with good instructions and 3 sets of needles/thread. The installation process was simple but tedious.Take your time with the installation. Pull the thread tight but not super tight. I cannot stress this enough. If your measured correctly and ordered the corresponding item you can pull it tight enough for the edges of the leather to come together. Just go slow, pull hard on the thread and take your time. It took me about 90 minutes to complete an 18” steering wheel with 3 spokes. Do this and you will be happy with the results and amazed that this product only cost about $20 or so.

I have a '65 f100 with the original steering wheel, and the plastic was starting to degrade and turn my hands black. I tried the cheapy plastic wrapped one a lot of classics have, but didn't quite like it. This is a major upgrade and looks great. I wanted it tight, but I probably could have gone up a width since my wheel was on the larger diameter side of the range. Only issue is that there's about a 1mm gap in some spots but it looks fine and that's my fault for not measuring better. I'd strongly recommend looking up a baseball stitch, it gets the leather tight and looks sharp. I'd never done it before, but a quick video made it easy. I'd also recommend using leather conditioner on it before installing so it's more supple and can conform perfectly to the wheel. I removed my wheel but it should definitely be possible to do it on the car, it just takes patience. Definitely adds a lot to the interior

Always a little skeptical about inexpensive items on Amazon that seem like they are over advertised and not exactly accurate. However this leather steering wheel cover exceeded all expectations. It was a little time consuming but well worth it. The only part I didn’t care for was the seam where it was not aligned and should have been blind seamed. BUT I imagine that those are available somewhere for a more expensive option. This truck doesn’t need that customization. I fully love it. It fits right and the color is accurate. It is just the right thickness and very comfortable. The grip is now like a new steering wheel. I am going to bury another one for my Subaru.

This actually worked very well and appears to be of very good quality. They also provided two needles and more than enough thread to lace it up. The only issue is installing it and stitching it together with the included thread. Took me a while to get the hang of it and I changed my technique a couple of times before I was happy, so it ended up taking a few hours total to complete. Eventually I would put the thread through one hole on each side, compress the rim with one hand as I pulled the thread very tight with the other, then used a spring loaded clamp to keep it from loosening, like having a third hand. Repeat and repeat over and over until you’re done. Very happy with the results. It comes in several diameters and widths and colors to closely fit your steering wheel so not a one-size-fits-all approach, which would not yield good results. My car is old and the foam padding on the steering wheel was deteriorating and collapsing and beginning to rip. I first wrapped the steering wheel rim using self fusing tape to build it up and compress the original foam, which was loose and coming un-adhered in some areas. I then installed the leather cover over this tape, which worked well. I was mainly interested in function but it actually looks and feels very nice. Highly recommended, but you need time and patience to install it. If I get another one for my other car I can probably install it in an hour, but it took me at least two hours just to figure out how to do it with good results. Results are well worth the effort, feels like it’s going to last for years.

Really happy with the leather. Non-perforated and feels like actual oem leather wheel material. No edge stitching like others for sale, but the material quality made up for it and if i had to choose the nicer seam or nicer material, id take the material again.

Didn't use it for my stering wheel but for my stroller handbar and bumper bar as they were torn and ugly. Ended up with a very nice result. Easy to install but takes time. The color is much darker than advertised.
