Buy this scale if you are weighing athletes for sporting events. Short of a certified, calibrated scale, this is the next best thing and gives your event some credibility.

My husband bought this for his Wrestling team for their weigh-ins so it's definitely professional grade. During off-season we got to keep it at our house and I used it all the time. I was even pregnant at the time, so it was fun tracking my weight and then watching it go down after the baby. It's very consistent, sturdy, and well-constructed. I can't justify the price for personal use, but if I needed a scale for professional use, this is the one I'd buy. Plus it's USA made. Perfect! (Also recommend the carrying case).
