Poor material would be an understatement! The bands are going to brake and smack you in the face or the black (used to be leather) pocket or pouch will rip causing the bands to come flying back in your face!

This slingshot is great. The design has been around for a long time. I had one like this 30+ years ago. Younger kids may have a hard time using this one because it does take a lot of strength to pull the surgical tubing. The arm support helps your wrist and you can aim longer. The leather pouch is a little rigid when you first start using it but it will become more pliable after using it for a while. Rocks and clay balls are good for ammo on this one. I also have a smaller slingshot and I only use clay ammo in that one.

Got it for my 7 year old nephew. His mom no likey. After the safety talk, I immediately showed him how to launch 3/8 hex nuts. He had a great time. Super powerful and def not a toy. Hell...I had a great time. I felt like a kid again. I had the same one. I think I remember shooting bearing balls though. Surgical tubing and leather pad seem to be wearing fine.

The product itself is great, no problems at all; however, it was shipped via FedEx which (at least in my area), tracking indicated refusal of delivery, even though there are currently only two houses in my subdivision, and I can easily see when someone arrives... I waited all day with no one attempting a delivery. I logged a complaint with FedEx, and when they did finally deliver; there was another delivery fee.

This is great product for the price tag. Great for plinking targets in back yard. Not terribly accurate (most are not) and band broke. I put a new band on its brand new. Very good product for the $

I picked this model up for stamina and to learn how to shoot. I had to buy a second one because the leather pouch tore on one side after frequent use.I picked up some replacement bands, but as a novice, I struggled to get them back on the fork. So I just ordered a second one.It’s easy enough to shoot, and I ran a range for teaching beginners all day on a Saturday without too much fatigue, thanks to the wrist brace.Note: I live in a state that Amazon won’t ship slingshots to. So I had to purchase third party. It took about a week to get the package, so don’t expect prime shipping if you live in one of those states.

I had this same slingshot 20+ years ago as a teen. I got in a lot of trouble with it before the police finally took it. It had much stronger bands back then, easily driving .50 caliber lead balls into street lights and windows.The one I now have is much weaker. I bought it for hunting small game and just screwing around in the backyard with targets, but there's no way the band is strong enough to take down a rabbit.The frame and handle are just as solid as my old one though. Overall, a good slingshot, just be sure to get heavier bands for it.3 stars for the weak band.
