These are threaded like a shower head. It doesn't say that, but they are NPS thread. With a little extra tape, they worked and looked nice.

No hardware store had this chrome coated 1/2" female x female coupling. This company sold us exactly what we needed to extend our shower head away from the sheetrock to prevent water from running down the wall and into caulk seam. THANKS!
