What I received was an actual hitachi unit mfg in Japan. No issues so far. Install was easy and as expected. Cleared the codes on my 2017 pathfinder and they have stayed off today. If I have future issues as some have stated I may amend my thinking. But for now, good purchase.

This thing stopped performing before the month even ran out and now it’s past the return date so I’m out of $70 plus whatever i have to pay to get the actual new part because this was definitely not new should have listened to the reviews DO NOT PURCHASE
