I tried the harness type of halo for my blind dog, but I couldn't get the sizing correct no matter how many times I measured. I decided to try a totally different style. My dog loves this one. I probably could have gone one size smaller, as it goes a little sideways, but it still works for its intended purpose. If I don't put it on her as soon as she gets out of her kennel, she'll just stand there waiting. Since she's been wearing it (two weeks now), she isn't afraid to walk around the house or yard. If she bumps into something, the halo part gets hit instead of her head or face. She's a much happier dog. Also, this one is easy to wipe clean if needed.

This is to typical halos, what the bubble collars are to the typical cone of shame. This is softer and less bulky for the dogs, hopefully helping your blind pup adapt to it better. My dog is a large Maltese and the S should fit him and it just barely does. We are going to have to see how he deals with this and if so I will probably go up a size to the M. I knew he fell smack in between the two sizes but was concerned with bulkiness. I know two people who tried the usual kind and felt that it just was too much apparatus. My dog has been walking into everything for about two weeks and we are all trying to adapt to the new reality of his rapid decline. This is so much better than what I was investigating and I'm hoping he can adapt to it. FYI, I (like many) live in a relatively small home so this protects their eyes (nose, teeth, etc.) from getting scratched but also makes it hard to walk through small places, such as under a bench, or through the legs of a table. We are making due. Thanks for the thoughtful product!

This was not a great fitting item for a vision impaired dog.

A great item if you are lucky enough to get the correct size. These run very small so you will definitely need at least the next size up from what you think you need. It is soft enough to not seem to be a burden or hindrance yet once the dog gets used to it I believe it will actually work well. If your dog is on the feistier side it might not last long however if he typical it should work well for some time.

very light weight for the dog. the dog never seemed to mind wearing it but for the most part it just stays by his leash now that he is fully blind we dont go anywhere and i see no reason to put it on him and take it off him why in side he doesnt move fast enought that running into anything hurts him or he seems to mind. and the the collar just isnt comfy for him to sleep in so its just for if we go some where he is not familar with and im afraid he will bump into things hard enough to hurt his snoot.

Our dog recently lost her vision. This hall has helped her “ map out” her surroundings fairly easy. Only improvement would be to have a longer neck strap for adjusting neck size. All else fits great and works good.

My boyfriends little dog, Princess, is about 14 years old and unfortunately has almost completely lost her eyesight. This has been a saving grace for us and for Princess. It gives enough of a buffer that she doesn’t bump into things. She went into a wall pretty hard one day which prompted us to purchase this and it’s seriously the best investment ever. Easy to put on, and it’s great quality. Very sturdy. Easy to adjust, fits her perfectly and it’s soft. Seems to be very comfortable for her.

The sizing on these are awful. I bought a medium and as you can see in the picture, the neck hole circumference is absolutely not 9.5in-14in. I went a size up to be safe as well and I can’t even get the buttons to touch without stopping the flow of oxygen to my poor little blind dog’s brain. The straps are long enough to wrap around a small horse however.
