I have 1 inside cat about 8 lbs who disappears in closets etc and it helps us find him. We have a cat that was abandoned that comes in and out. He is 18 lbs and he was bringing birds to us. We hoped the bell will give the birds a heads up to keep them safe. It has a nice sound and I can hear them both wherever they are. It is a nice size and neither appear to mind wearing it.

Ordered size small bells. Bell is very big and loud but also has pretty workmanship. For kitty you will not need 2 bells. Kitty took a couple of days getting used to the noise and stopped trying to get the collar off. So many cat toys have bells on them. It will take weeks for humans to get used to this bell, especially in the middle of the night.

We have a 14 year old chiweenie thats nearly deaf and cant hear when we call for her and we have a fairly big yard with plenty of trees and plants that could easily obscure our chiweenie from sight and these bells have worked like a charm to keep her whereabouts known, even when she cant be seen. The bells are loud and durable and i really appreciate that they came with a zip tie because when they are attached through the collar clip they sway gently enough to not ring, at least thats the case for a small dog who walks slow. But when attached directly to her collar with the zip tie they ring plenty!

I have a smaller dog that is easily scared. I've almost ran into her multiple times because she's really quiet, so this helps me know where she's at around the house. It's very loud, which is helpful for me, and will definitely keep wildlife aware if she's trying to go after them. The last bell I owned came off at the connection point. These bells are much more sturdy and I haven't had to worry about them falling off at all so far.

I like to let my three cats out with my dog when outside and when I come home for work. Two of my cats can be trusted to stay in the fenced in yard but one is an escape artist and will climb trees to get out if you aren’t paying attention at all times on where he is. This bell helps me keep tabs on where he is at all times without constantly looking. Saves a lot of time searching the neighbours and he can still come out without being a hassle!

As other reviewers have said, these aren’t the cheapest bells, but I didn’t want cheap. I wanted something durable and loud. These bells absolute fit the bill! I got the small size, and after a couple days, I actually took off one of the bells. I found the sound doesn’t reverberate quite as well with both bells on and one bell does a very good job.My only hesitation of letting my kitten be indoor-outdoor was the fact of how much wildlife cats kill. I wanted to give the wildlife as much warning as I can; if they can’t get out of his way with these bells jingling…well, it is survival of the fittest.
These are nice and very affective .

Can find both cats around the yard. It’s great to know where they are even if you can’t see them. Let’s birds know they are near by. Unfortunately, birds take risks and can still get caught. Very loud. Older cat had two but lost one . She has had hers for 3.5 years now. Yes costly but in the long run worth it.

They're expensive... but worth it, I feel. Puts the near-useless, supplied-with-the-colla-type bells to utter shame. MUCH louder. Also, heavy duty/well built. Expect that they'll outlast my cat(s)! I bought one pair of the mid-size bells, thinking to use one-each, on my two cats; but eventually decided that the the younger, 'mighty hunter' version cat (Nacho) needed a full TWO bells. So... bought a pair of the small bells, this time, for him. Surprised to find that the smaller bells are pretty much as loud as the mid-sized ones. Also, little enough difference in tone (surprising, that) that I've never subconsciously/intuitively learned to differentiate between the cats' jinglings of the bells; even after adding the 2nd mid-sized bell back onto the collar of my larger/older cat. So... after considering the cost of the Rabies shot/tag ($15), the collar ($1@, in six-lot/Amazon), the custom, laser-engraved, epoxy paint-filled name tag ($10@/Amazon), and then the pair of bells ($19 per pair, I think it was, here)... I've got about $45 invested in the outfitted collar; per cat! And, sure enough... after about only a week... Nacho returned one evening... W/O his collar! Arrgghh!! But... fortunately, I found it just where I thought it might have been shed, next door; where my cats commonly like to hang out, when outdoors. I think I loosened the collar too much, when I noticed Nacho scratching at it, in apparent annoyance, after having first put it on him (no previous collar experience. No prob/other cat). I think, while scratching vigorously at the collar (behavior directly observed by me), he likely caught his foot in it, yanked in panic... and popped the safety release of the collar. So... considering the investment... I ordered (Amazon, again; of course) some Samsung (to work with my Samsung phone) Galaxy SmartTag Bluetooth locator tags. So now... each collar has an additional (yet!) $20 invested in it! But... in addition to gaining info on my cats' activities (plus other advantages), I can find the durn thing, if either cat manages to 'lose' one, again. Hopefully. :-) :-) Highly recommend these bells, despite the expense.

...until I discovered Beau's Balls. I waited a week to write this review, just to make sure it was true. And it's true! Before Beau's Balls, Amelia my beloved little killer would create a chipmunk crime scene in my home just about every other day (involving both dead and alive chipmunks, and anywhere in between). She was already wearing a bell I had bought for her at the petstore, and I didn't know there was much else I could do. But I decided to try these, and they've made all the difference. They are quite a bit louder than the bell she already has, which I think alerts the chipmunks to danger so they can successfully get away (I actually watched this happen, and the chipmunk escaped up a tree). I will say that Amelia has managed to kill a mole and a mouse this week, bestowing them upon me as gifts. But I can accept that.Amelia is a small cat, so I got her the small balls, and they fit her fine. She doesn't seem to mind wearing them, though she did already wear a collar with a bell in the past. I highly recommend trying these. A beautiful, well-crafted product, and a lifesaver -- literally!
