They can be used with a puller, where the jaws of the puller grip the outer edge of the object. Alternatively, they can be used with a push-puller, where the legs of the puller are threaded into the two tapped holes of the object. These splitters are made from durable materials and are designed for long-term use in harsh conditions. They have a heavy-duty construction and can handle objects with a diameter ranging from 5mm to 60mm(0.25-2.25 inch ). Made from forged steel, they ensure reliable performance.

Overall quality is ok but the holes for the pulling studs are 20mm (oversize / weird). Now go try to find 20mm pulling studs and find a T-bar puller that will pass 20mm!(most T-bar pullers on Amazon will only pass 1/2" studs).Don't know what they were thinking but this puller is useless unless sold as a set with matching components.

This is a small bearing separator. The casting is super smooth and nice. This will come in handy with I'm working with Toyota transfer case and when bearings. The hardwarez studs and nuts are nice and appears to be rolled instead of cut. So as a tone know. Rolled threads is stronger than cut threads. The jaw opening is about 6" inches and plenty fine for transmission and transfer case work. The one thing that caught my eyes is how clean and polish the casting is on the jaws. This is not your typical cheap sand cast which is mass produced and not that refined. These bearing separator should work fine for my needs.Again great looking bearing separator that should last for the DIY and shade tree mechanic.

This is a good, very small size for the types of bearings found on some vintage woodworking machines I'm repairing/restoring. (I'm thinking particularly of radial-arm saw and sander applications.) Seems well made, up to OTC standards, and a lot of OTC stuff is made overseas now anyway. I don't have experience using it yet, but the ramp/slope on the knife-edge separator halves looks like a decent compromise between getting into narrow gaps and ruggedness - maybe just a bit more on the rugged side than I'll want sometimes. Time and use will tell.

This product will probably give decent service for a year or two under moderate use. Be aware that the holes to use with your puller, are not at a 90 degree angle to the plane of the device.
