I use this as a backup to my repel device, in case of a free fall, i can use this to catch me. I have now purchased two of these and they are well built and sturdy

Just barely big enough to do a traditional prusik on a 9.5mm rope doubled up. I cut away some of the heat shrink on it to make life easier. You will absolutely have to extend it during use.
