Got this to change the tires on my trailer. Looks beefy enough but one is probably not enough. Also came with a cheap plastic case that I'll most likely throw away when it rips very soon. Harbor Freight sells a similar item without the plastic coating for $7.50 so the question is: Is this worth 3x for the plastic coating? Not for me.

The tires on my 27 year old snowblower finally started to quit on me. They both have a slow leak from dry rot. I'm not complaining, I got almost 30 years out of them.Anyway, I ordered this tire iron to help get the old tires off their rims. It worked great on my little snowblower tires. I haven't tried it on anything bigger, but I got it to use on my yard equipment and I'm sure it'll be fine for my needs. The tire iron is about 20 inches long and has a slight curve to the left in addition to the profile you can see in the listing. I wasn't sure if that was intentional, but I see other reviewers have mentioned it, so I assume it's part of the intended design. The only downside is the hard plastic around the handle. It's not particularly ergonomic and I don't know how long it'll be before I accidentally break it loose. But that's a minor problem, it should work just fine without that piece of plastic.Overall, I think it will meet my needs so I'm glad I ordered it.

Somehow the pictures made it seem much smaller. It's a good size, decent for working on tires. Somehow I thought the pictures made it look much smaller.I didn't see any measurements in the pictures, but now I see that there is one line where it says it's 500mm/20in.

I've been installing my own tires on most of my vehicles for close to 37 years. I've used various tire machines and irons. Auminum wheels always made installing/removing tires a bit slower because I didn't want to damage the edge of the wheels, so I'd use leather between the wheel and tire iron (I'm not a big fan of the halfmoon shaped plastic wheel protecters). I got this tire iron because it has a hard plastic sleeve that should prevented the damage. After using this tire iron on a steel wheel, I found it superior to my straighter tire irons because of the way it fits into the duckhead. With each use, you will start to damage to the plastic tire iron sleeve, but it's very minimal. I'll definitely be buying one more of these tire irons because of the way it performs and protects.

Very stury and well designed to quickly get tire removed from the rim and in getting new tire onto the rim. I was in a situation where there was not a tire center open to fix a flat and AAA was going to take hours to get to me. If I had this tool at that time I could have replaced the tire and been down the road. Not for the beginner. You need to have a little experience or knowledge in unmounting tires. The curve in this tool lets you get the bead of the tire over the edge and then work around the rim getting more of the tire over the rim incrementally. Get one side of tire off and then work on the other bead to remove tire from that same side. Remove tire from rim on the inside rim, the side that you do not see with wheel on vehicle. That way any scuffs or scratches will not be made on rim you see with wheel on car. Remount new tire in reverse order. A little soapy water really helps. Once new tire is on, a bit tricky to get beads to seal to get air back into the tire. Watch a few videos to see how to get the bead to seat. If you have never used tools like this and never unmounted a tire from a rim, I would recommend to practice first on an old rim and tire in just removing and replacing tire on rim. I would also recommend getting some rim protectors and a tire spoon to help unmount and mount tires to rim. This tire tool is solid and well made, at a good price, and should last a lifetime.

I recently had the opportunity to use the Bead Lifting Tool, also known as the Tire Iron Spoon or Mount Demount Lever Pry Bar, as part of the Through the Vine program, and I must say, this tool has exceeded my expectations! While it’s advertised primarily for changing tires on cars, trucks, motorcycles, and bikes, I found it to be a game-changer for a different application: removing a snow blower tire.Having faced persistent issues with a flat tire on my snow blower, I had been struggling with the bead breakers that came with my mini-tire changer. They just weren’t getting the job done. Enter the Bead Lifting Tool. From the moment I picked it up, I appreciated the thoughtful design, particularly the curved head and the plastic handle protector that makes gripping it comfortable and secure.Using this tool, I was able to break the bead with much greater ease than before. The leverage it provided was fantastic, allowing me to complete the task without the usual struggle. It took the frustration out of tire removal, which is no small feat when you're dealing with stubborn tires. The tool's efficiency has made a significant difference in my snow blower maintenance routine, and I can't recommend it highly enough. In fact, I'm so pleased with its performance that I'm planning to purchase a second one to make the process even easier. Having two tools on hand will undoubtedly streamline the tire changing experience, especially for someone like me who tackles various equipment maintenance. In conclusion, if you’re in need of a reliable tool for tire changes—whether it be on a vehicle or, as I discovered, on a snow blower—I highly recommend the Bead Lifting Tool. It has proven itself to be a versatile and effective addition to my toolkit, making tire removal much more manageable. Don’t hesitate to add this to your arsenal; you won’t regret it!
