1.Please fill sand bags to the point, when you think you are done filling, fill it some more.
2.Install the poles so that the opening of the beach tent is facing the wind and stretch the legs out now further.
3. Stretch the eight sand bags out as far as possible to make sure the fabric is tight.

We've had other brands of these in the past and loved them. This one is almost exactly like the top name brand, but at a fraction of the price. It is in a nice bag so that it can be transported easily to the beach and back. Everything folds up super small, in fact, we can put this inside our Tommy Bahama backpack beach chairs so that our hands are free. It weighs next to nothing and makes life so much easier than lugging a huge pop-up canopy tent to the beach. This style is also so much easier than an umbrella that's constantly flying away with a wind gush. This provided a huge area for us to sit under, out of the sun, and the kids had plenty of room to play. Word of advice: Lay out the canopy and fill with sand. Stretch the bags as far out as you can. Then, slowly put the poles under it on opposite corners. THe tighter you get the top, the better it will stay.

Really pleased with this. Easy to put up and take down. Definitely overfill the sand pockets. We are the envy of everyone at the resort, not a lot of umbrellas on the beach so I bought this just before we left. Great shade.
