Works well for dry sand. Not super great for wet or heavy sand. I worried the kids would break it. However, it survived flying and beach combing. Perfect tool to help dig for those shell treasures.

The material of the shifter didn't seem to sturdy however it was easy to use. It held up while digging in the sand with it & shifted well. We loved the bag because we got to store our shells in it.

Have gotten lots of use out of this at the beach and beats having to scrape your hands up digging in the sand for shells and rocks. The bag is handy too since it has holes to drain out. Easy to carry and use.

The shovels worked great at the beach for shoveling for shells. They lasted the whole vacation. The soft the sand well while still keeping the shells - even small ones. The shell bag was an added bonus, it’s the perfect size and kept the kids having fun in the ocean. Good value for the product!

Durable, good size, great value....My 4 year old daughter and I had fun digging thru the sand looking for shells on the beach....helped find a few sharks teeth we would of easily missed!

I made a mistake and did not look at all the pictures on the sale page. I’m sure you didn’t either. We only looked at the first pic of the GIANT scoop being held in a person’s hand. The other pictures give actual dimensions and show other items to give a perspective of scale.This scoop is TINY.The first picture is extremely deceiving as to the size of the scoop. It is obviously a small child’s hand holding the scoop in the picture.Now about the actual scoop…The frame and handle feel solid in the hands. I am sure they will hold up to average use on the beach. The mesh does seem flimsy and will deform easily if abused. It will be used on a beach very soon and I will update upon my return.
