Although these cam sensors are inexpensive, there’s a reason for that…because they don’t work. At least not in my 2011 Maxima, they don’t. I had to replace the valve cover gaskets. I figured since I would have the top end tore down that far, I may as well replace the plugs, coil packs, pcv valve, plenum gasket and the cam sensors. Got it all put back together and the car wouldn’t start. Code scanner stated the sensor in bank 1 position A was having an issue. I initially thought the wire was having an inconsistent connection since I had trouble getting it off. Went out and bought another pigtail, installed it and the car still wouldn’t start. So I swapped that particular sensor for one of the old ones. No luck. “Cant be all the sensors. They’re brand new.” It was all the sensors. Out of four, not a single one of them worked. NOT ONE!

I can't really give an accurate evaluation because I still have a "no start" on my 2010 Nissan Altima. I replaced the crankshaft sensor and now the camshaft sensor. Still no start. This product was very easy to install and looks like the one that I took off the vehicle. It was a fraction of the cost of a dealer part and even a box store type auto parts price. It seems to be made of good quality materials in that it's not cheap or flimsy feeling or looking. But as far as function, I can't say as my vehicle still has a no start. My Altima was NOT giving me an error code with the Camshaft sensor to begin with, only with the Crankshaft position sensor. I replaced the Crankshaft PS and read somewhere that I should also replace the Camshaft sensor at the same time. So it's very possible that I didn't even need the Camshaft sensor. Who knows? May be time to bring in the professionals.

Put in all 4 sensors and getting P1078 and P1084 codes that I never had before. Engine sounding bad. Not factory OEM replacements. Generic and Nissan Maxima's are picky. You should exclude Nissan maxima from fitting this product. Want my money back. have to just pay the OEM price.
DO NOT BUY!!!

Had a code for a cam position sensor on my 2016 Altima. Car was running fine but engine was still throwing the code. Figured I'd grab two and just replace both, since they are the same on this engine. Ten minutes after installing, my car starting sputtering and shaking, and started getting the smell of exhaust fumes. Immediately replaced with the old sensors and the sputtering and shaking stopped. Your better off spending the extra money and buying OEM.
