In my Porter-Cable stapler these staples work very well. Misfires and double fires are a rarity, and when they do so I usually find out my compressor setting was off from optimal (I find 70 psi perfect for this application). My local hardware store charges almost double the price for their equivalent staples and they are no better than these. I prefer to buy local, but I can't ignore that sort of price difference.

My Freeman PSS50 was having many jams with 1" 304 stainless from another vendor. Apparently the glue holding those inferior staples together is weak and the sticks break, and the Freeman jams at the break. These Eagle staples appear to have much stronger glue holding them together so the jams are far less frequent (I only had 1-2 jams on a full stick).I do wish B&CEagle would sell 1" staples which are more appropriate for my application (putting up vinyl soffit), but I do think the Freeman PSS50 works better with the longer 1.5" staples.

I have put 10 to 15 thousand of this brand through my staple guns without hardly a jam . They are less expensive and seem to do the job just as well for less money .
