This is my go to. I transformed my kitchen cabinets using this. The where fairly new but the factory paint was wearing after only 1 year. I used this mixed with Sherwin Williams paint. Went on easy. Looked professional. I followed with an antique glaze then water-based poly. That was more then a year ago and holds up well.

I'm pretty handy, but no experience with painting vanity whi h jad been varnished before. I cleaned the surface and applied two coats of paint with BB Frosche and it looks amazing. I will say that the container came in a little air tight bag which was good because the white powder was everywhere making it very hard to read the small print on the label.Downside - no clear instructions, unless perhaps you buy the whole kit. But I found a YouTube where someone demonstrated the qua titles of powder/water/paint and I believe I got the quantities correct. Leaves a beautiful finish. Feel like it needs 'protecting so I have since purchased the wax and hope when it arrives it will help seal it. One jar will do MANY projects. Great product but would love to see clearer instructions for newbies that don't have $$$ to spend on the whole kit. I already had brushes, container, whisk etc..

I used this product to paint over multiple layers of very old paint that would have been a nightmare to remove—worked like a charm. Then, I used it to paint over another old paint job on the metal rungs of my staircase—also worked like a charm (in this case I used a couple of extra tablespoons of product).Prior to discovering this product, I used awful, odorous (and dangerous) paint-stripping products—I'll never have to do that again based on how well this worked out for me. Couldn't be more pleased with the results.

This is the first time I’m trying to paint furniture using chalk paint or additives. Amazon always asks for reviews before there’s time to tell. It seems expensive, but all paint is expensive…and chalk paint even more so.

*Update*It's been a year and my cabinets are STILL holding up beautifully! BB Frosch is no joke! I have also wiped them down numerous times because of spills, and still no spots where the paint is missing. It's staying intact perfectly. Do not paint your cabinets without this product! You will not be disappointed.I have painted my kitchen cabinets before WITHOUT adding bb frosch to my paint, and what a disaster! The paint on my cabinets starting peeling almost immediately, even with following all the instructions and buying the primer that Lowe's told me to. This time, I decided to do it right, and that included adding bb frosch paint transformer to my paint of choice. Then following up with the wax provided in the starter kit. My cabinets look absolutely gorgeous, professionally done, and are extremely durable. I HIGHLY recommend this product for any furniture or cabinet painting needs. You will not be disappointed!!!!

I painted two very high quality nightstands with this stuff and the paint scratched right off. I scuffed sanded them too even though this product is not supposed to require it! I am very disappointed as I wanted it to work for me. I am a very experienced furniture painter and I used a high quality flat paint as directed.

I bought this product as a recommendation from a friend and I'm so glad I did! I am redoing a vanity for my daughter and used this product with a flat paint and it turned out FANTASTIC! I used 2 heaping tbsp mixed with 1 1/2 tbsp water- mix that well- add your paint (a little goes a long way) and get to work! Coverage was great and I am loving the fact that it will work with any paint and (even better) without sanding! I used a small roller, but I know my friend has used it in the sprayer without problems. I did have some issues with shipping delay (not from the company itself as they shipped out my order the same day) but when I contacted the company they were VERY responsive and immediately sent me another transformer. I found my new favorite product and it *almost* makes me want to do more DIY projects (I hate painting normally)! Buy the transformer- you will not be disappointed!

This is a game changer in redoing furniture! I purchased it to paint an 80s Ethan Allen table. No priming or sanding & the finished product was perfect! I had paint left over so I did three smaller tables, a plastic water can, a bird house, and my mailbox! I was walking around the house trying to find other pieces, because this is so easy to mix & use. And, I have enough leftover powder to do many other projects.No matter the surface, it covered! This is an amazing product!

I’ve only used it once and seem to do a good job I will be using it in some bedroom furniture shortly. That will be the big test. I have been making my own chalk paint with plaster of Paris and had no problems with it . I went for this product because it was advertised non toxic. I would like to find out what the ingredients are since they are not listed. I bought 2 jars of it. Have lots of projects ahead So will have a more detailed review about the product itself.
