I purchased this adapter primarily to connect my 10th Gen Ipad to a Yamaha Arranger Keyboard. In addition I wanted to use one of the USB ports for simutaneously charging the Ipad. For charging, I used a USB 2.0 to USBC cable. This setup works flawlessly! Also, I like having the option of using the HDMI out as a connection to either a display or projector. And lastly, the price is right!

Great device, charges as described, DOES NOT WORK WITH OG SWITCH. Amazon says it does; when plugged in "Unable to connect to tv".

Just what I was looking for. I bought a new MacBook Air and discovered I didn't have enough type c ports for all my devices. I needed to connect a monitor and wireless mouse. I ended up using an HDMI cable for my monitor and the USB for the USB port. I had these on type c before but was able to change the cables I had handy to easily conform to the ports. This product seamlessly connected both.I hope it lasts for a long time. I do wish they offered an option with all types c ports.

Pros: Low cost, works great, when it works lolCons: It stopped working after a while. I did use it daily. No damage, one day after a few months, it stopped working, so just be prepared for that.

For a while everything was great using my Mac for work with my external display but one day after a MacOS update, I could no longer use my 1440p monitor without the resolution trying to scale incorrectly to 1080p. After much tribulation and grief, figured out this adapter had stopped working after swapping it out. It did work for 2 years so will give some stars but taking away some for my lost sanity.

Utilisé directement, il ne renvoie aucun signal HDMI vers un écran lorsqu’il est branché à un iPad Pro, contrairement à ce qui est écrit dans la description. Testé avec deux écrans.En cherchant sur internet j’ai toutefois trouvé la solution: il faut forcer la négociation usb3 au préalable en branchant un équipement usb3 avant le HDMI. Et ça fonctionne.

Super product. Initially observed that sometimes laptop screen wasn't visible on the monitor when monitor is connected to laptop using this adapter and laptop is not charging. But after some time, issue solved by itself.From 2nd month onwards, no issue seen until 8 month (now)

Can't give this USB-C Multiport AV Adapter less than 5 stars. Had a Samsung Galaxy S8 that finally bit the dust when I dropped it for the umpteenth time (that phone was seriously durable). The display no longer worked correctly and the screen was completely unresponsive to touch. Thought I might be able to install a new screen, but found out the pin connector was broken, too. I was planning to replace the phone in the future anyway; however, was not prepared for the sudden damage and hadn't backed up anything for some time.Enter in this little lifesaver. I connected the multiport AV adapter to my phone, then connected the device to my TV via HDMI cable, and finally plugged in a USB adapter for a wireless mouse. I was able to view the phone's screen on the TV with no issues, while using the mouse to simulate tapping and swiping. Thanks to this device, I backed up everything on the old phone and used Wi-Fi to migrate all of my data to my new phone.I do want to mention that using this with my (old) phone drained the battery very quickly. Also, I did try connecting to my laptop; however, the laptop never detected the Galaxy S8 was connected to it when plugged in via the device. I didn't delve into troubleshooting this too much since I didn't really need a phone-to-PC connection via this device.Overall, it is a great item that did exactly what I needed. Also, it's handy to have around and I've since used it to display videos, mobile games, and a presentation from my new phone to a TV.
