Keep my 2007 HD Road King plugged in to this battery tender. Battery hasn’t died yet! The bike starts right up after sitting for weeks on end during the winter.

For 50 years now I always had lead acid batteries and decided to experiment with lithium. So far I am happy with my new choice. The Battery Tender Junior has passed the test and seems very well built, it works perfectly, as expected. My lithium battery charges to 14.4 volts and the old lead battery will only go 12.8 The Battery Tender Junior has a selector that will also let me charge the old lead batteries. If my guess is right I will be switching to lithium evey time I replace a battery. I chose the 0.8 volt model because I will leave it plugged in all winter.

Bought this for my 24 R1250 GSA. Install of the terminal rings (included) were a breeze. It’s basically plug n play. No issues thus far at all. This is a dual battery type tender. I have a lead acid battery but if you have lithium, it’s a simple touch of a selector to change it. So far, I highly recommend this tender especially if you aren’t going to ride for 2 or more weeks.

The Battery Tender Junior 800 seems to be well made but one important point is worth noting. This unit will not charge a motorcycle battery that is completely depleted (i.e., dead battery). You have to have a minimal amount of voltage in the battery for the unit to work and so you will need to have a larger charger. Once I partially charged my dead motorcycle battery the Battery Tender did a good job of bringing the battery to 100% and seems to be holding the battery at full charge even in the middle of winter. I like that you can disconnect the alligator clips and permanently affix the connecting cable to the battery.

These work very well I can connect to my 1500w solar battery and go for weeks with the charger tending my RV and truck. Use a second and third unit to keep 2 other Autos charged while away from home. Good value and a good piece of kit!

I had a dilemma! Every week or so, the battery in my 2020 car - because of the heavy electronics - would die out -I was tired of calling roadside assistance to do this - frankly, they were tired of my need to get my battery charged weekly! I spoke with both the roadside tech and the service rep at my dealership and they offered the advice of getting a battery charger if I did not drive the vehicle everyday - well, I am retired and do not need to use my car daily and the newest electronics - although fun - were draining my battery out.I had a roadside tech install this for me - I am not a mechanic nor do I know how to do this - albeit simple - and now, I have not had the need to contact them to charge the battery! It is ready to drive at a moment's notice. I like the easy to understand the lights on the base - yellow when charging - center green when completely charged - and the way it is compact and easy to use. I have been very pleased with this simple, durable and wonderful gizmo - a battery tender - since the day it was installed! It is not for EV vehicles - it is for gas powered ones - and I have and trust a gas powered car. Also, the EV's are far too expensive, including setting up a home charger and paying an exorbitant energy bill as well - which no one speaks of!! - and if you do not live in an area where they (EV charging stations) are plentiful - you get stuck on the road miles from nowhere - here's to battery tenders and gas powered vehicles! YAY!
