The strap works ok if lifting straight up. I used it to pull a battery out from under the fender and the battery had to come out up ended. The clamp on the top terminal would not stay on. This made lifting the battery out more difficult.

Just what I needed to get a grip on a battery for they are hard to handle and the carrier strap works really great I think everyone should have one for they are really handy, I love it
