About the Kit
A basic kit with regular black powder can be used with success on glass, counter tops, table tops, painted surfaces, cabinets and many other non-absorbent surfaces.
Detectives use regular powder on the painted exterior of stolen vehicles on car glass.

- Regular latent powder 1 oz.
- 1 fiberglass fingerprint brush, extra soft
- 1 pack of fingerprint backing cards (25 sheets)
- 1 lifting tape pad ( 25 sheets )
- 1 heavy-duty carry case
Essential Fingerprinting Supplies are Included
Fiberglass Fingerprint Brush
Fiberglass brushes become softer with each use. The brush can hold more powder than traditional hair brushes. Store in the included tube for re-use.
Latent Fingerprint Powder
Black fingerprint powder is effective on most light-colored, non-absorbent surfaces.
Fingerprint Lift Pads
25 lifting strips are included in an easy-to-use peel-off pad.
- Peel off a strip of tape
- Lift the developed print
- Stick the the tape to a backing card.
Fingerprint Cards
Fingerprint cards have two sides. Place the lifted print on the smooth, glossy white backing. On the reverse of the card is an area for the case number, time, date, and diagram to show the location of the print.

I thought this would be more of a kids set but it is a talk deal finger printing system! Easy enough for a beginner. Pretty cool just be careful with the black dust it stains badly and the lid is awful.

Do you have a budding detective in your life? Get them started on proper fingerprinting techniques with this realistic kit. You’ll have to manage the black fingerprint powder, but it will be worth it to see those prints picked up and transferred for identification. It’s a key skill, get them started today.

No complaints about the product, but here's a photograph of the warning label attached to it. Thought you should know about this before handing this (or any other fingerprint kit?) to your budding Sherlock Holmes.
