My 10 year old son was having trouble with his thumb hurting from being a catcher in games. He tryed this glove and stopped hurting in a week. Little much to put in his catcher glove but made it work to stop his thumb from hurting!!!!

An catcher knows that catchers thumb is a real thing. This is an all in one glove so you don't need the separate catchers split.

This is great for catchers but only if you can fit it in your main glove. For which transitions this will slow you down when going from batting to getting up to catch. It’s tighter in the glove and my daughter eventually couldn’t get into the groove with this line glove. May fit others better but my 5’ kid couldn’t work it out. We have another protector that works great without taking too much room

My son has been a Catcher for 9 years now. He has had several injuries to his thumb. After doing some research I found this glove to help prevent injuries to his thumb. Very much worth the investment and to be proactive in preventing further injuries.

While the product description said the thumb guard is moldable, it is actually just hard plastic. And, unfortunately, the thumb guard is too large to fit into the catcher’s glove.

This is exactly what I needed to keep from hurting my thumb when catching for my son. It is a little tight getting it into the catchers glove but other than that it works great.

I have a radial collateral ligament tear from grappling (Brazilian jiujitsu) and surgery is being deferred for now.I have bought a dozen braces to see which I like… I decided to keep three, for the following reasons:Mueller Sports Medicine Reversible Thumb Stabilizerhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004YIFA2C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1“Mueller”, to me, is the best designed, the most comfortable, and the most stabilizing. Slightly more limiting in wrist motion than the “Ely Gear”... but this is my "go-to" brace.Wrist Brace with Thumb Splint by ELY GEAR | Stabilizer Support for Pain Reliever & Recovery - Dual Spring - Reversible - Blackhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XZV951C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1“Ely Gear” is a great brace, straps work well, but not as perfectly designed as the “Mueller”. However, I can do a little bit more with my hand and wrist with this brace, and wear it to work or when I'm playing cards or something.Team Defender Catcher's Thumb-Guard Protective Glovehttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HXJTNY0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I wasn’t sure if I would like this one or not, but it is actually awesome for working out in… makes you not look injured… and provides good support. My summary:“Mueller” at home and at sleep. Awesome design.“Ely Gear” at work and on the computer and working out.“Team Defender” with higher-intensity workouts and/or a glove rather than a brace is better tolerated by me or by my teammates.… and I would recommend all three, if you have my similar injury and an active lifestyle.
