- This was ordered for 18u softball pitching practice, and it wlll work well for us. It is well made and sufficiently heavy to make a satisfying sound when the ball is thrown against it at 50 mph though it is not quite the heavy gauge material that we've used at our local indoor batting cage. However, the main reason as I see it for a heavy material is for the backstop to deflect minimally when hit at high speed, and this item works in that regard.- In case you are curious, the strike zone measurements are as follows:- Inner rectangle border: 14-1/4 x 26-1/4 inch- Outer rectangle border: 17-1/2 x 30- The line is 1-5/8 wide, so very visible.- All of these measurements are relevant since the width of the plate is 17", making this strike zone width fairly accurate. Raise or lower the backstop so that the strike zone height is batter knees--> elbow though and you'll likely find the SZ height is kinda generous. Unless your players are really tall.Mine was 47" x 69" overall, which is short of the advertised 4x6 ft size. Oh well.- HAs heavy duty hanging grommets (4 each on top and Botton, 8 total).- Still, recommended for 18u
