Got this to bring wood in from my outdoor wood pile to the fireplace, it makes it much easier to transport several pieces at a time - really this thing is big enough to move enough wood for the entire night in one shot.I wish it was a little bit wider - I've found that if the wood is dirty, you tend to track debris all over the house spilling out of the edge of the carrier. Another 3-4 inches of width or some type of lip to catch the pieces that fall off would have been nice!

When I first chose this item (btw we Vine members do not get items for free, we are taxed and I will pay approximately $10 for this item come tax time), it was labelled and described as leather, implying real leather, but I should've known for the price it couldn't be. What I received is not real leather, and what do you know, the seller corrected the title to include PU leather, but only after the fact. This will probably last through a season or two before it starts getting distressed looking with cracks and finish flaking. While it will be functional, I expected something different based on the original title and description. I can't really recommend it based on the thick canvas log bags that are readily available on the market for half the price. I would choose one of those over this.

This is a wonderful wood carrier. MUCH nicer than the standard waxed canvas style.Wonderful leather in a rich, warm brown tone that just looks a class above while holding a few logs by the fire, or resting with them in a rack nearby.Very happy with this one!

My mother in law was telling me about a leather wood carrier she remembered from her childhood. I saw this and thought it was similar. I was wrong.For those of you who don't know, there are different types of leather. Full grain leather contains the full thickness of leather and tends to be thicker. Top grain leather contains the top thickness of the leather including the grain that gives leather its typical surface finish while most of the bottom thickness is removed. Split grain is the bottom portion of leather and usually has a suede-like finish.Way at the bottom of the list of types of leather is "bonded leather", which is actually just 10-20% leather fibers mixed with polyurethane plastic and layered on to a synthetic backing. Bonded leather doesn't wear well, tends to be the least strong (often less strong than purely synthetic substitutes), looks artificial, and other than having a smooth outer surface doesn't even really look like leather. Bonded leather is prone to crack and tear and both looks and smells like plastic.This is that cheap, bonded leather.Keeping in mind that this will be used to carry rough, heavy firewood, bonded leather is the wrong material entirely. You'd likely be better served by a cheaper canvas carrier.That said, the size is good, the handle ends are well supported with wooden inserts, and it is basically functional.Even so, I would not recommend this product.
