They work good. To get them in I use vice grips, chanel lock pliers and some what strong hands.

I keep snapping off the original plugs in my kneepads, these buttons have served me well. I heat up the pads with a hair dryer and use a little petro jelly to help with the swap. First one was a learning experience, the second time went 10X faster. So far these blue guys have not snapped on me

My old Velcro straps went south, so I modified my knee pads to these with rubber straps. Worked out on my application very happy with the outcome.

You might have to wrestle with installing the new buttons a little bit, but that just means once they're in, they won't fall out. A little dish soap helps with the installation.

Wishing I knew the trick for replacing these buttons? Maybe my pads were just to old and stiff for getting the old broken part out? I have rated the items higher as they seem to be good quality and match the broken ones perfectly. Install was just rough. Glad I only had to replace one. Phew! UPDATE: I sort of found the trick to installing: Cut off the old broken nub as it passes thru the hole. With new one, use pliers to fold the flat part (which will go inside) in half and push and pull it thru the hole.
