The club I am in participated in a community non-profit festival were different booths had different items to eat. Our booth chose popcorn chicken, jalapeno poppers, and french fries. Having never done this before, we opted to go with the cheapest fryer we could get and this was the one.The reviews were hit or miss, but we didn't time or the funds for some professional or commercial grade fryer, so opted to take a chance on this one. This fryer was an absolute champ for the whole 3 day event!Over the course of a Friday night, all day Saturday, and half a day on Sunday, this fryer was fired up most of the time. At the peak eating times, we were having trouble keeping up with orders and this fryer never gave us a single hiccup. Well worth the money.Now, for a few little issues. The lack of any type of oil/grease cover is a concern. As this was an outdoor event and prime time for love-bug season, we had to be vigilant to make sure mother nature didn't add any "additional seasoning" to the oil. That brings me to the second issue. There is no way to "hang" the baskets and allow them to drain for a few minutes once they come out of the oil. We had to put napkins in an aluminum tray and dump the basket contents into that. Not a big deal, but some way to drain the oil from the food before dumping it into a tray would be nice.As far as wind issues and the flame, we had no issues whatsoever with getting this fryer to temperature and maintaining that temperature. Over the course of 2-3 days, we used almost two full 5 gallon propane tanks.For sporadic use at smaller fairs, this is a great option.

It’s deep like the ones they use in restaurants, meaning it uses a lot of oil. Maybe use just one side for a backyard party and use the other side for dripping.

It's tall enough to easily remove the baskets with out much effort but low enough to give it a good center of gravity. Sturdy construction, the pans are a little thin but can easily be replaced with thicker ones. Overall good quality.

With this deep fryer you can control the heat on each fryer pan. Very nice system. A little pricey. But a nice fryer
