Bought these a little over a year ago. They were easy to install and are really bright (in a good way), but one of the lights died after about 6 months, which is a bummer. If not for that, they'd get 5 stars.

I installed six of these in my three car garage. Very bright, almost too bright. The clips they come with however don't hold the light bar even though it's a snug fit. I think the clips are just too small and hang on to too small a portion of the light bar. After a few months some separate and the light bar starts to sag off the ceiling. Fortunately the light bars are very light and unlikely to cause any real harm if they came off completely, though it looks a bit menacing and is a bit of a hassle to get the step ladder and reattach them.

I ordered over 32 light strip for myself and all my family followed early on because these are incredible lighting solution. 5000K is a good temperature to get great color accuracy and comfort when working. The installation couldn't be easier (small clips with simple screws, then clip on the led strip). They are insanely BRIGHT and you have the option to use regular IEC15 plug with integrated switch or you can hardwire them. The only (small) downside I may share is that the hardwire wire provided is quite short but since you can always use the regular plug and cut it to length, this not a real issue. I used them for more than 6 months now and never experienced early failure. Oh and I forgot to mention you can piggy-back up to 5 strips together so this is another easy way to get A LOT of light very quickly and simply.Pros:- Very Bright- Easy to install- Not expensive in regards to the quality- Can be bought in 4ft or 8ft strip- They will probably last a long time- not prone to early failure in case of regular on/off (compared to regular ballast/tube)- can be hooked together (up to 5 at once)Cons:- Hardwire a little bit shortWatch out for coupons as these are seen regularly on sale.

I HATE a dark shop so I may have overcompensated a bit with these but .... wow - they do put out the light! I have a 900 sqft shop that I bought the 10, 8' light package to light. The arrangement on the ceiling was evenly spaced, 4 rows of 3 lights spaced 80" apart (yes, I am 2 lights short - will order them soon). The shop currently has dark surfaced wood and no real reflective values for the ambient light - the room pretty much absorbs the light without bouncing it around.Even with poor reflection -the shop absolutely radiates light! I am 2 8 footers short and it is still amazing! My only complaint is that IF you look directly at them, you will have a similar effect to looking directly at the sun (temporary tattooing of the light picture to your vision). There are no diffusers incorporated into this design and with the higher output lights and lower ceilings (my shop) it makes it easy to see them in your periphery and get this effect. I doubt higher ceilings will have this issue and to be clear - I DON'T REALLY SEE THIS AS A PROBLEM. To be fair - I DID buy a really bright 6500 series light. And I still love them.Install was a breeze - you may consider adding a bit more bend the clips to give them a little more grip but there are plenty of them so this will likely not be an issue. I ran mine across 4' centered ceiling rafters - a closer spacing would provide a lot more security FYI.Shipping - I believe the risk of OOPS or FEDAX damaging the longer lights in transit is a bit more likely than the shorter ones (mine arrived with slight damage but not unusable). I preferred longer lights believing they are easier to install over longer distances and have a smoother look to them when completed. Chalk-lines on ceilings make it a snap - (lol...sorry, construction joke).Price paid for amount of light received - I am very happy!Quality - appears good and no issues with anythingEase and time of install - If you are running new outlets that takes significant time. The actual mounting and plugging them in takes no time at all.... I used a snap line/chalk line and marked my light placement by myself - a laser indicator would do the same thing. Follow the line and find your stud/rafter/joists and screw in the brackets. THE MORE PRECISELY THE BRACKETS ARE ALIGNED THE EASIER THE INSTALL WILL GO SO DON'T PLAN ON EYEBALLING THIS INSTALL.... simply line the fixture up with the brackets and insert a corner, then rock the other corner in. The screws included may not be long enough for a garage ceiling install (typically thicker sheetrock per code), but are probably adequate for most installs.I LIKE THEM!

3 year update:Individual LEDs on many of the 3 year-old fixtures I installed for my first review, below, are starting to fail; about 1% or so of the total LEDs in fixtures that have had low-to-moderate use each week. Overall, the fixtures are still functioning and plenty bright, but the individual failures are pretty uniform across all of the units I first installed. I have purchased 30 additional fixtures since the first install and so far they are all doing well.Personally, I would have expected better life than this, perhaps on the order of 10 years or so considering their moderate use (several hours per week). Hopefully the QC issues from the first batch installed have been corrected in the later batches I bought.2 Year Update:* So, far I've installed 20 fixtures and none have failed.* I'm pleased to report that the mounting clips in my latest batch have been completely redesigned and strengthened! They are now very good (add one star). Kudos for customer service listening to feedback.* I now have 30 fixtures installed and working without issue.Initial Post:Initial impression is mostly positive...Pros* Very bright white... the 5000K rating seems accurate.* Very light weight* Very good assortment of electrical connectors; the number and type works for an average installation and seems to be well thought out.* Every fixture worked out of the boxCons* The mounting clips seem to be almost made out of tin foil... they very easily deform and have absolutely no "spring back" qualities. To be clear, pairs of clips are adequate to support the negligible weight of each fixture. However, anything less than precise alignment while attempting to snap in the fixture results in a deformed clip and the fixture has to be taken down so the clip(s) can be bent back into shape. >:-(* The included connecting wires are all 4 ft long. No problem if the fixtures are less than 4 ft apart, but useless if the spacing is greater. Longer wires are available separately, but a few can be fabricated with the included stub connectors and some 3 conductor cable you supply. Not a deal killer.Life expectancy is unknown at this first install. Fixtures like these that fail early usually have power supply failures. Stay tuned...

bought two sets of these (10 lights each) and was so impressed, that I bought a third set a week later!... I bought them to replace the many fluorescent ones I had in my garage/workshop. I work on classic cars and so need "perfect" lighting especially when I'm doing bodywork and paint and the old style fluorescent ones just weren't cutting it anymore... I daisy chained three and four together on different circuits on the ceiling and the walls so that I could pick and choose which I needed to have on for a particular job I was doing. So each set could be easily turned on and off with the included in line switches. The connecter cables are also handy as the lights in a chain could be placed pretty much anywhere you want. Some people are complaining about the metal clips these lights come with. I had no trouble with them at all and they hold the lights very well. But even though the kit comes with three clips per light, I only installed two per light. This eliminates the need to align three clips perfectly because if you don't align all three exactly then I could see that it would cause problems as the missaligned clip would pop off easily. Also when you clip the light into the clips, don't push it in flat, but rather slip one side in first and then clip the other side in gently. this worked every time for all 30 of my lights, no issues at all. The light these give off is perfect for a work shop/garage, at 5000k it gives a nice bright white without blinding you like 6000k or 6500k tend to do. but for inside a house it might be a bit too bright if you are planning to use them somewhere where you would want more gently lighting, so for that maybe go for a 4000k. Also I am not experiencing any flickering whatsoever, the lights are instant on and perfectly steady and very comfortable to work in and many times brighter than the old fluorescents, there is no comparison. So far I'm very happy with them and think they are great value for the price. I might buy more to replace other conventional lights I have in my shed and outbuidings.
