The Tomcat G3 youth compound bow is designed for young archers ages 8 and up who are taking steps to progress their skills. The bow itself is a great starter bow. We got it for my 8 year old, who wanted to start bow hunting with us. We had to buy different arrows for her to practice with because the arrows wouldn't stick in the target.

Don't waste the $60. The bow has been an issue to tune... Tuned properly, it is consistently 12" left of point of aim, with the windage maxed out. And the "string" which is a cable, is already losing its plastic sheath. We hoped to use this to practice for 4H competition... No such luck. Garbage.

Wont shoot the arrows straight. Even when an experienced archer tries to shoot it. Plus the arrows are not bright and we lost one on the first shot. Spend the extra money and get one that can actually be used as a practice bow for an aspiring archer.
