I have only had this thing a day or two, so I am hesitant to write this. But, so far, I am really pleased with my purchase. I heat water to about 200 degrees F, and pour over grounds. The coffee is still hot at 150 degrees F an hour later. I did this more than once, to make sure I hadn't lost track of time. This is not a misprint. It actually keeps coffee HOT for at least one and one half hours. That is WITHOUT preheating the press, as suggested by the literature.The fact that I can now use my favorite brewing method, with a press that will NOT break if I knock it over on a table, and actually drink 2-3 cups of coffee, at a leisurely pace, at a reasonably hot temperature is a game changer.I have a big stove top percolator, two electric Farberware percolators, a Bodum press, and now this.I just wish I had know about this thing a couple of years ago. Great product. Highly recommended.

I love this product because it makes an amazing cup of coffee. It takes seconds to prepare and well insulated. Also, easy to clean with soap and water. Very appealing and no leakage when using it. The productCan make about 5-6 cups of coffee and quick to make it. The size is larger than the older one I had and the flavor is awesome. I highly recommend it to everyone who loves a good cup of coffee..

I like how it looks; it has a durable feel to it. The size is good—it can make enough coffee for several people. I also love the thermometer on top. It has two filters, so I never see or feel coffee grounds. My only dislike is that the black coating on the handle has started to peel.

The lid is not insulated well. I'm not sure if this is to prevent pressure-build in the press, or if this is a design flaw. But, there is no seal even when the pouring hole is closed, there is so much space around the lid that you can hold your hand 2 inches over top of it and feel the heat coming out. The temperature goes down 20 degrees in 5-8 minutes. A little disappointed by this.I love every other aspect of it. It's a solidly built french press, easy to use, easy to clean, and it does make very delicious coffee. It also looks really nice. The finish on the body is that gritty finish that gives it a good rugged feel. Will take it camping.

This product works well, but it broke after less than a year. It seems that the thermometer part at the top was just glued on, and after while, it snapped off under normal use. I contacted the company, but they ignored me. I would not buy this brand again, as my experience has been, once they have your money, there is zero support for issue with their products.

The Barrista Warrior French press is part of a morning coffee ritual that would have seemed way over the top to us some years ago but seems essential now. We start with beans roasted within the past two weeks (preferably Ethiopian Yrgacheffe, but we think that Rwandan or Berundi are also great), weigh 53 grams of the beans and then use a burr grinder. With the ground coffee in the Barrista Warrior, we add just a bit of 200 degree water to let the ground bloom for 30 seconds. Then we fill the Barrista Warrior with 200 degree water, wait two minutes and stir. We put the plunger on the press without pushing the plunger down, and wait for another seven minutes. The Barrista Warrior holds the heat well (as shown by the built in thermometer). Then we pour it into our Ember cups that keep the coffee at 140 degrees. The taste is worth the effort.

I love stainless steel kitchen ware, and was glad that I finally found one for making coffee. This french press feels really sturdy and solid, nothing like the flimsy glass ones that I don't even use anymore, especially a broken one :/This french press has a very simple design, it does the job well consistently. Well designed products are fun to use as well. It feels high quality, not too heavy either but not light and fragile like the glass ones. The thermometer is a nice bonus too, sometimes I just check it quickly too see if I need to pour another cup before it gets too cold. By the way it takes a lot longer for the coffee to get cold in this, probably because of the thicker steel walls. Which is great, because I brew the entire thing for my wife and myself, and usually leave it out for a some time, and this french press keeps the heat for quite a while. Good, durable product, definitely happy I paid a little more for it, so far no regrets, great product overall!
