Our Lectric XP 2.0 is an excellent ebike but it lacks one feature that some other ebikes come with--a USB charging port. This is handy if you mount your smartphone to the handlebars and use a GPS function, as the phone drains relatively quickly with such use. This thing mounts on your handlebars and the long power cable zip-ties to the existing cable bundle and terminates by the controller circuitry. I decided to tie the power cable directly into the switched 48v battery line but wondered how much idle current it would draw from the battery, since I leave the battery key on when the bike is not in use. In two weeks, the battery dropped 0.1v, which is about what would be expected just from normal lithium battery decay anyway. So you can leave this thing wired in permanently. It produces a generous 2amp output. Happy with the purchase. Oh, and it looks to be waterproof, with a tight-fitting USB port rubber plug.
