It would not just snap on to the ball. I had to remove the little pin and then reinstall the pin after putting it over the ball.

I broke the plastic end on my hood spring gas lift kit on my hot rod. These ends look much more appropriate for the application and won't be effected by underhood heat.

Much, much better than the cheap crap that came in my Hood Strut kit, tolerance is great, the retention wire works perfectly, and it’s got a good finish.

Replaced the plastic end pieces on hydraulic lift gate supports. Looks way better and seems unlikely the piece will split like the original plastic ones due to close clearance.Be sure to check and recheck the thread size and the end piece ball socket circumference.Great purchase!

I don't know what happened prior to my purchase with other reviewers, but the picture shows JUST the socket. That's all I needed. Also, the size was correct (m8 with 10mm ball socket). I needed 4 for my project, that's what I ordered, and that's what I received (overnight, too!) They look to be well built, and durable. I will definetly order more of these, should the need arise. Great product!

Only the cap is included not the ball. The picture shows both the cap and the ball.
