Your cart is empty. A sturdy, hand-formed, rattan banneton is great for proofing your bread.
These are also known as brotforms or proofing baskets.
Bannetons are used for rising your dough while providing the loaf with shape and wicking moisture from the crust. /br Don't bake the bread in the basket.
When dough is risen, turn it out onto a pan to bake.
The loaf will sport a gorgeous pattern of floury rings circling the deep-golden crust.
Pls note may a little deviation exists for the size due to handmade product.

I'm one of those people who have fallen in love with sourdough bread making during the pandemic. I was really excited to find these bannetons which are listed as being 10.98" in length by 7.09" wide, by 4 inches tall. The actual dimensions are 10.5" by 5" by a 2.75". I was quite discouraged to see the size when I opened the package. This is too small to bake larger loaves. The materials appear to be of good quality though so it probably is fine if you are baking smaller loaves.

I like this size of Banneton for my everyday bread which is about 550 gm/loaf. It produces a loaf that makes perfect sandwich size slices.I decided to use this over the couche because these take up less space, are portable and fit in my proofing box. There is also less handling involved in getting the loaf onto the baking stone so I get better oven spring.

Had to wait 2 weeks to get delivered because they came from China but they are of very high quality, very well built surprisingly, highly recommend at these prices. Very happy.
