This Banjo 200D cam and groove style fitting is made of polypropylene and has a 2" female cam coupler connection on one end and a female NPT connection on the other. The female cam-locking coupler connects to a male grooved adapter and the female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads connect to male NPT threads. The NPT threads create a tighter seal than straight threads. It is made of polypropylene which can be sterilized, has dimensional stability, and is resistance to most chemicals. This cam and groove style fitting has a maximum operating pressure of 125 pounds per square inch (psi), meets military standard MS27019 for quality assurance, and is suitable for use in commercial or industrial flow systems, such as water transport.

Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems. They are made of brass, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and other materials that resist corrosion, pressure, and wear. Hose fittings have various types of connections, including threaded, barbed, push-to-connect, dry disconnect, and others including those based on internationally-accepted specifications. Hose fittings are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation.

Banjo manufactures valves, couplings, pumps, pipe and hose fittings, and other fluid handling products for industrial applications. The company, founded in 1995, is headquartered in Crawfordsville, IN.

The categories offered for review of this product are nonsensical. Nobody cares about the 'sheerness' of this product ! (???)Anyway: It's sturdy and well-made. I bought it to attach to an IBC Tote tank being re-purposed for firewater supply and irrigation - i.e. farm use. The existing valve on the tank had a male cam-lock fitting terminating with a very short thread profile at its open end, probably for some kind of protective shipping cap. This Banjo fitting clipped right on, nice and tight, good seal. Well Made!

I like this product a lot. I installed it on the waste line of my pool filter so I can quickly connect/disconnect a collapsible hose. It works perfect.

I was impressed to see that this was made in the US. It seems heavy duty and well constructed. Though it is poly, there are no burrs, no rough spots, etc. It is smooth, polished, clean threads that fit and join nicely with other fittings, etc. Well made and looks like it will hold up for a long time.

I purchased some 275 gallon totes to use as water tanks. I didn't understand the fitting on them at first as there was nothing at the hardware store that would fit it. The totes had a threaded cap that I removed. I thought the fitting was supposed to go on to the male threads where the cap was. After some research I found out that I needed this quick connect (cam & groove) fitting that goes completely over and ignores the threads from the cap. So if you're looking to get from a male quick connect (ball valve in my case) to something that will adapt to everyday fittings you can get at the hardware store, than this is what you need.I bought three of them and used them all summer to get water to my small cattle herd. Never had a problem. The quality is excellent. They're very durable and don't leak a drop. With two reducers and a hose fitting I was able to attach to a standard garden hose. It's actually faster and easier to use the quick connect than to unscrew the hose.

We have a large pond in our back yard that hasn't been running for a few years. when I fired the thing up the compression coupling on the two inch pipe coming out of the pump simply couldn't hold the pressure. Try as I might, I couldn't get it to hold. A co-worker, who also has a pond, told me about these fittings. He didn't have any because he hasn't had the problem I have, but it sounded like a perfect solution. Once I saw the price, I ordered a set instantly (coworker thought they were about $100 a set so I was pleasantly surprised) anyway, I hooked up this set, and a month later haven't had a problem. Note, I bought the other end of this coupling as well as the male/female reverse sets of these fittings, so I'm re-posting this review on all of them.
