Good quality, thick and heavy. A good coat of cutting board conditioning/preservative oil and good to go. I did add a set of rubber feet though to keep it in place.

The Bamboo Wood Cutting Board I ordered a few days ago has turned into one of the most useful items in my kitchen. This board has been made out of quality bamboo and not only does it look good but it also works well.Firstly, the design is special. The board is substantial at 1. It has a thickness of 2 inches to ensure that it offers adequate support in all cutting and chopping operations. The bamboo material is not abrasive to knives which in turn helps to keep knives sharp and in good condition always. This feature of having hidden side handles is a great plus since it enables one to carry the board without having to compromise on its sleek design.I do like the practicalities designed into the board. The juice grooves running around the sides are great to contain juices from fruits, vegetables, and meats, making my countertop less messy when preparing food. I love this cutting board. After staying with my mom for a year, I needed to replace some items when I recently moved into my new house. My old marble board was discolored, heavy, and retained water underneath. My mom's board was/is the worst design for a cutting board. First off it's plastic, so it retains/absorbs whatever is cut on it (getting bits of raw chicken off it is a complete bitch and involves lots of scrubbing and bleach) it's small, and it has a lip around three of the edges so getting a flush chop is impossible. This board is none of that! It's a perfect size, it's sturdy but still rather lightweight. The natural color is nice, I appreciate the line cut around the edge for juices. I didn't know it but it has handhold cut outs on each side as well, a nice extra feature. It sits perfectly flush on my counter and dries quickly. If you do any kind of cooking, this board is worth more than the $20 price tag it comes with.

This is a great cutting board but after having it for a few months it’s starting to split and chip. Don’t get me wrong the thickness and the weight of it is great. It seemed at first great craftsmanship but like i said after a solid amount of cleanings it’s definitely wearing down.

This is a great cutting board. I didn’t notice any smell to it, and it there was no cosmetic damage when I received it. I did give it a good cleaning but there was some residue that came off still, a few more washes and that will disappear I’m sure.I ended up buying it as a gift for my brother, I carved out his logo for his bbq videos he makes online and added resin. It held up wonderfully and is very sturdy. I added a few photos with a pen beside/on it for size reference to the board.I definitely recommend purchasing this board, and if you do I suggest buying was and oil to keep the board lasting for years. There are a few reviews of people saying it cracked on them, but that won’t happen if you maintain the board.
