Works perfectly for holding salt. We use a large grain Celtic gray salt and this works nicely for it. I love how the little spoon is tucked inside.

Keeps salt convenient in the kitchen. Is plenty big enough for avid cooks to not have to refill all the time. More occasional cooks don't have to worry because the salt doesn't cake in the container. Lid is very easy to operate one handed.

I like the lid sliding around to the side instead of coming off. Pretty design on the lid, too.

I was sooo excited for this to come and it did not disappoint! It’s sooo pretty and the swivel of the lid and hidden compartment for the spoon is so satisfying and useful! I will say the way the lid does remove scared me at first because I thought I broke it but once I realized I just became more careful with it. Mine does have a small crack in the wood where the lid connects but it has not affected the product or its use. Other than that it’s beautiful and I use it to store my Celtic salt.
