I've tried other lids for my canning; some work better than others, but Ball brand is consistently the best; they seal every time. Wish they were less expensive, but you get what you pay for!

I'd never canned anything. Realized I was never again going to taste the Italian caponata my late sister made for me unless I canned it myself. I had watched her canning, and I'd saved her canning pot. After a few videos on YouTube, I learned the lid seal was key. I remembered the green boxes of Ball lids and screw tops on her countertop, so those are the ones I ordered from Amazon. The result: 24 jars, and every Ball lid sealed perfectly. If I'm going to make the effort, I'm going to use the best.

Like they all sealed. Bought cheaper ones and only 75% sealed. Went back to the Ball Brand and 100% sealed. No dislikes. They worked.
