This type of younger jack is my favorite because it’s easy to operate and the weather cannot get inside the worm gears. Holes fit perfect with no modification needed.

This 2000 lb sidewinder jack was identical to the original equipment which got accidentally damaged after 6 years. I wanted the same jack because it was so sturdy and dependable and easy to use. The replacement was very simple and easy to install. I couldn't be more pleased.

Unfortunately, this is the third trailer jack that I have had to buy. I dropped the trailer once and hit some big rocks a couple of times. This jack is really easy to install. Literally, it takes less than 15 minutes. Just remember to have it all the way up when in use.

Bought what was listed as "used" from amazon warehouse or whatever, seems some jack leg probably ordered the wrong part and sent back a brand new item, this thing works great, took all of 5 minutes to install, 4 of that looking for the tools, all 3 of them.

I've used this jack approximately 15 times. No abuse. No dragging the trailer while the jack was down. The gears stripped out and my son and I had to lift the tongue off the hitch ball and down the jack went with the tongue going with it. So now I've got to buy a quality jack. The quality of travel trailers leaves much to be desired. Especially when the companies use crap components.

Original tongue jack on our Jayco trailer broke. I’m pretty sure this new one I ordered was the same brand. So replacement was as easy as unscrewing three bolts, sliding the old tongue jack out, slipping the new one in, and screwing the three bolts back in to secure it. The gears inside were already greased and it came with three new bolts.

This unit was a perfect replacement, identical in every respects to my original BAL tongue jack. After more than 12 years of faithful service, my original BAL tongue jack failed without warning. The roll pin securing the gear to the handle shaft broke, bending/shearing the short piece still left over. As a result, the handle would just freewheel and I was stuck with a trailer lifted off the ball, but not level. My particular trailer configuration had the side mounted handle away from dual 30-lbs the propane tanks, for which the tank cover touches the body of the tongue jack. So with space at a premium, I was concerned about the mounting plate/bolt pattern and how it would fit to my trailer tongue as there is only one way to mount it due to plate shape . I needed to be assured that when installed, the jack it would not interfere with the tanks and that the handle would be orientated correctly. So my choice for this BAL unit among the host of multiple others listed on Amazon was simply because I wanted to ensure it would fit exactly the same. The unit arrived in 2 days and was perfect fit in every respect, even including new bolts. It was dimensionally identical to my OEM and took less than 20 minutes to change out, including the time to place the ball end of the tongue on blocks to unload the jack. - - - - A lesson learned here! The jack failure occurred just as I was getting set up at the campground, I had just cranked the trailer up off the ball. So at least my tow vehicle was not stranded in being mated to the trailer for the week. I still had to lower the jack, not only to level the trailer, but to hitch back up and get home. Although I managed to massage the 3/4 remaining piece of broken roll pin back into place to get the jack to work, I was otherwise unprepared to deal with a potentially worse situation. I now keep a budget model hydraulic bottle jack from Princess Auto with me when towing for piece of mind. It was conveniently on sale when I got home. I was lucky twice!

Had the exact same unit on my RV, wanted to go to a powered jack but couldn't find one that fit 1 7/8", so glad I checked that before wasting my time buying a unit that wouldn't fit through the hole available. Old unit was getting difficult to raise and lower and couldn't find anything on line how to oil it. New unit works well, relatively easy to raise and lower. Would have given it 5 stars except no manual for oiling but it works well for years.

Works as it should, be better if it came with grease fittings.

Works like a charm. The jack on our flatbed trailer was getting so hard to crank, so we bought the BAL 29025B 2000 lb. Sidewinder. What a difference!

This is a simple, 3 bolt job. Simply remove the three bolts holding your current jack in place, lift the jack out, and slide the new jack in its place. Install the original 3 bolts and you are done. This seems to be a solid quality jack and it is has worked well for over 5,000 miles, so far.

Got it swapped out the old for new. And it was tough to turn with a heavy gear feel. Amazon is going to replace it so hopefully the new one will be better
