Mabe it wasn't made for peanut butter but both bottles broke during the first use. The bottle split at the top by the lid.

The first time I used this item both bottles cracked in two places. The bottom cracked and the top cracked at the bottom of the threaded part and icing was oozing out from both cracks. I don't know if this is a defect in the product but I won't be purchasing any of these again. I have had Pampered Chef bottles for cake and cookie decorating for a long time and I purchased these because they were larger and wouldn't have to be filled as often, but i was disappointed when they cracked.
