I really dig this little cajon drum. It's super portable, has a great tone, and the bag and strap are both nice quality as well. I get great bass tones at the center and a nice high snare meets wood block type sound at the edges. Great for percussion in jam sessions or to record a unique sounding track with, this won't replace your big cajon, but is indeed its own instrument. I love it.

I see reviewers complaining about the buzzing sound coming from the cajon.. I can assure you that a properly made cajon will have snare beads mounted behind the striking surface. That's what gives it the "snare" drum sound. But what I love about this portable cajon is that you can completely change the sound by flipping it over and tapping the other side. Not only does it give it a slightly different tone (a little deeper due to the different type and thickness of the wood,) but you can play it without the snare effect if you wish. All in all, the construction is on par with any other full sized cajon that I have, and is great for different types of gigs when you want a different sound. The strap is a good quality and reminds me of a guitar strap. It's great if you want to have the option to stand on stage while perhaps singing vocals and playing. It's fun to play and can be taken almost anywhere thanks to it's size and portability. Good product, and well made.

This is a well made drum that works as it should. It isn't as deep and loud as the larger, more square drums. However, using this with my other drum is great. It gives me more flexibility and sounds to play. Overall, it is nice.

I want to learn some percussion basics and rhythm before to move to a bigger cajon (and investment), and this small Cajon box drum is perfect as a starting point. Also, is super portable and comes with its cushioned carrying case and adjustable strap, so is very convenient to bring with you to any party or simply to have on hand for practicing.Overall is made of real wood and finish is great; however, sound wasn’t as clear and vibrant as I expected, (maybe one of the snare wires inside are too loose, but can’t be adjusted), so well it comes with its limitations. I guess that part of the sound results could be also my limited rhythm/percussion skills, which I have to improve. So, I’m going to give the benefit of doubt, here. I hope that soon, it will sound as clear as the promotional video in the site.Pricewise, is on par and similar to other vendors for a decent small cajon box. Recommended.(Reviewed by Handyman)

...I slapped it again. This portable cajon is well constructed very nice looking. The strap is soft and easily adjusted. The holes in the leather are a little tight to attach to the box. The box sounds how I would expect it to. It is repsponsive with lots of treble but very little bass. With a cajon this small and thin you aren't going to get much bass at all just because of physics. There is one small issue. I'm and avid cajon player and builder, and normal cajons that have a snare insert have it in the upper half of the box. When this one is worn the way it most logically hanging position, it puts the snare at the bottom. It just takes some getting used to when switching back and forth. Overall, I think it is a decent cajon at a middle of the road price.

This thing is amazing, a little Mighty Mouse. It is well-made really finally crafted with the excellent materials. Even the strap is nice. It’s not gonna give you the sound of a full-size Cajon, that’s just the laws of physics, but what you get is incredibly decent sound for its size and you can even put a small condenser Mike at the bottom and it will amplify to sound phenomenal. This is a really good well-made finally crafted musical instrument.There is a snare inside that’s what makes it a cajon so I’m a little puzzled that somebody was surprised at the rattling sound because that is supposed to be there but all in all for the money you are not gonna get a better portable musical instrument. This is a premium looking and feeling item, I could make it up and would be happy to go on stage with it. I have several other sit down models and of course they’re going to sound better. They have a huge advantage in terms of the sound box and the reverberation chamber. This thing doesn’t compete in terms of moving air, but it sounds fantastic.Think some of the reviews are not really adjusting their expectations for the size down. I didn’t expect this thing to sound nearly as good as it does. It’s probably 1/25 of the volume of a sit down unit, but it puts out good sound and nice sound. Very well balanced and rich for its tiny size.My only two issues are ones that can be overcome, which was the first one. It has an odd oily smell, which I think it’s actually the case and not the instrument. That will air out overtime and the second it’s a little hard to locate the snare in terms of the soundboard. Sometimes it feels a little bit all over the place, but that’s just gonna take something time to get used to the, smaller surface area means you’re going to have to really learn that small movements have large changes and sound, but this thing comes with a nice padded case and a really well-made shoulder strap so all of this for a very reasonable price is a fantastic buy.

Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice looking cone and its size is convenient. It comes with a nice case and appears to be made from quality wood with good finish and construction. However, the greatest value of an instrument lies in the sound that it produces. Like other reviewers have said, this Cajon produces a metallic buzzing sound when tapped, which really takes away from the rich drum sound you would hope for from a wooden drum. Such a bummer, especially at such a high price. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this due to the internal buzzing sound. I will update this review if for some reason, the sound goes away or I am able to fix it .
