I ordered these backup alarms to be used on a couple of my work trucks.They are straight and simple to install and wire. As of right now, I have bench tested both, and they are loud and work great right out of the box. I chose to wire one through a toggle switch rather than through my reverse lights, due to the fact that the truck I installed it on has the reverse lights connected to the door lock/alarm system and didn't feel like having my backup alarm beeping for 3 minutes every time I used my fob to unlock my truck.The second alarm will be installed on my 1981 GMC K-10, and I will be wiring it through my reverse lights.These alarms are designed with the option of grounding them through your mounting point, or running a separate ground with a wire. Through my experiences with similar products, I would suggest using both grounding options.I highly recommend these for anyone who does a lot of backing in congested areas.
