After a very light rain, this product was clearly wet from the inside out. The acrylic outer is not in fact waterproof, and I doubt that it is water resistant. I could find no openings or holes at the top of the covering that would indicate manufacturing defect, which means that I suspect this sadly is a feature not a bug! The “insulating” component is something excessively cheap that would see inside a takeout box container to keep food hot for a few hours. Beware of using this on your backflow device without additional waterproofing or you are very likely to ENSURE a freezing of your pipes and other hardware during a freeze. Poor quality for such an overpriced piece of equipment. Shame

The covers were very simple to install. They fit perfectly over my backflow preventer valve, and the process was quick and hassle-free. It’s nice to know that my outdoor plumbing is now protected from freezing temperatures with minimal effort.The quality of these covers is excellent. The material feels thick and durable, providing great insulation. It seems well-made to withstand harsh weather conditions, and I’m confident that it will offer reliable protection against the cold front coming this week.These covers are designed to be weatherproof, which is exactly what I need for the freezing temperatures we’re about to experience. Helped me through this year winter freeze over a snow with no issue. The velcro on the bottom helps to seal off and rounding up over the piping sleeves. Easy to install/uninstall. Surely will be keep and used for the next winter.

No complaints. Velcro closure on the bottom. Thick material with thermal lining. Zurn backflow preventer. The proof will come in the spring when I turn the water back on, hoping for no damage.

I love this product. Went over my back flow valve perfectly. Easy to use. Black. Absorbs the sun. Velcro at bottom keeps it in place - even in high winds.
