Soft and cute, squishy enough to protect baby's head when falling backwards. The chest strap is necessary to keep the backpack on. The sound it makes though when being squished can encourage the baby to fall backwards though. I would consider this as a toy and not something super practical though because I believe a parent should still accompany their newly walking baby. This is not an excuse to leave your baby alone. A $20 toy is pretty average, not good but not bad.

Such a relief to know when my baby throws himself back his head isn’t going to take the brunt of it. And it doesn’t hurt that it’s so cute and soft.

Let me just start by saying that the moment I saw this Baby Head Protector in a Little Dragon shape, I knew it had to be ours. My little one is at that wobbly, “I’m trying to walk but mostly I just fall on my butt” stage, and I wanted something that could protect that precious head while also being, you know, adorable. When it arrived, I wasn’t prepared for just how cute this thing was! The dragon design is beyond charming—it has little wings, tiny spikes, and the cutest dragon face ever. Honestly, it looked so much like a toy that I almost didn’t want to put it to its real use! But as cute as it is, safety comes first, and this little backpack totally delivers. I slipped it on my toddler, and it was a surprisingly easy process. The adjustable straps are soft and secure, and it didn’t take much fiddling to get a good fit. It sits comfortably on their back without feeling too bulky, and here’s the best part: my baby didn’t mind wearing it! That alone is worth celebrating because getting a toddler to keep anything on is like trying to tame a wild animal. But nope, they seemed to love their little dragon wings and actually enjoyed stomping around like a mini Godzilla. Within the first 10 minutes of wearing it, my little one did their signature move—standing up, getting distracted by the cat, and toppling over backwards. Normally, this would be followed by tears and a rush to check for bumps, but not this time! The soft, plush head protector cushioned the fall perfectly. My toddler bounced right back up like nothing happened, all while I stood there amazed. The dragon protector totally did its job, and I felt a huge sense of relief knowing that the falls weren’t going to be as dramatic anymore. It’s also super lightweight, which means my baby can crawl and walk around with it on without any issues. It doesn’t weigh them down or make them look uncomfortable. In fact, it’s now become a part of their “look,” and I can’t lie—it’s ridiculously cute watching them toddle around the house with their little dragon wings flapping behind them. What I didn’t expect was how many compliments we’d get when wearing it in public. I’ve lost count of the number of people who’ve stopped us to gush over how cute (and smart) the dragon protector is. I’ve even had other parents ask where we got it because they want one for their little ones, too.
