This soft play mat is kind of like an exercise mat. They have the same type of design, some patter on the top for non slip and jigsaw pieces you put together to form the rectangle.Easy to use and put away if needed. Since these are just jigsaw pieces, if they have an accident it'll seep through the cracks a bit, but the foam CAN absorb a bit of it.

These are versatile foam puzzle mats. I already have 3 sets of 2' X 2' tile mats that I use for my senior dog. This baby mat is smaller in dimension, 1' X 17" which should work in smaller areas of the house. I appreciate the precision of 0.47" height disclosure and wonder if my other tiles are also slightly less than 1/2 inch. These look more attractive than my other tiles and appear to be well made. Not having the border fringes is nice as those are just a pain. For one set, I threw them out as they came apart. This is a great set for pets and babies. I wish it had come with a storage bag/container.

We really like this foam play mat. At just shy of 0.5" thick, its of a nice thickness so that it isn't too bulky but also padded enough for when our little one is throwing herself around. The pattern is simple but nice. My only complaint here is that it can only be assembled in one way because the edge pieces aren't interchangeable. Other play mats I've seen have separate edge pieces that let you customize the configuration freely whereas you have to stick to a rectangular design in this one.

The smaller rectangles on this mat and overall smaller area work well for smaller spaces or for bringing it around on a trip to visit relatives. I like these tile mats much more than the fold out kind because once they're assembled they're completely flat and don't have any valleys to trip on or get stuff caught in them.This mat was thoughtfully packaged in shrink wrap with the outer two tiles facing backwards to protect the top surface. Of course more tiles means more seams but that's just the trade off.It would have been nice if they came with a carrying bag since they're so convenient for travel. It's odd that some of the larger tiled mats have though they don't work nearly as well for that purpose.

These lock together easily and hold together securely. The small size when stacked together makes them easy for storing when not in use. Being made of foam I would be concerned about long term durability but that's expected. Other than the price being a bit high, I'm happy with these tiles.
