There's way too much ink on the pads to get anything other than a hand or foot shaped blob and after you've used a spot on the pad it's not enough ink to make another print. It's extremely hard to get the blob print especially if your baby is a baby and moves when you try moving or touching their feet and hands

My baby immediately scratched through the invisible ink side. He destroyed all the pads. And the print I got was very blotched and doesn’t look like a hand. I haven’t tried any others but I found this difficult and messy. It’s a good size, it fit both his hands and feet, individually. If you have a pet, I could see this being easier than for a baby.

I love that someone figured out how to do inkless cards for baby hand and footprints! It's pretty clever how they do it. The ink is matched to card, then you push on the other side of ink sheet and it imprints on the card. Very very clever. Price was excellent. I even had other paper that I used since there was enough ink left. The price was EXCELLENT for at least 8 cards so just over $1 per card. This would also be a super baby shower gift!

The ink pad needs to be blotted first before using, then it works great!

I gave my daughter this as a stocking stuffer for Christmas this year. She has a dog who is getting on up there. He is 13 now and she wanted to take prints of his nose and paws to remember him by when he is gone. This is great because the ink itself will never touch the dog. Who would want to put ink on their dog's nose? I know my dog wouldn't like that! There are some packs of these on Amazon that have two, but I got this one with four so that she has extra in case one doesn't come out well. She can do them all and then choose the best ones to display. These would work great for babies or pets... cats, dogs... really any pets. Well, you might not want to squish a fish on the pad!

I found these ink less ink pads to be a lot messier and more challenging to use than I expected. I also got a more expensive set of name brand ink less pads at the same time to compare with these and found them to be almost identical, so it’s not this specific product I have complaints about as much as it is inkless pads in general. I messed up two pads by accidentally squeezing or touching them which caused ink to come off on the plastic shell and leaving a bare spot on the ink pad. I was trying to use these to get nice hand prints of our newborn son, but he didn’t like to fully open his hand which messed up several prints. You can see some of the various attempts in my picture. I was finally able to get some acceptable prints but it took lots of trial and error as well as some luck. These pads are really only good for one print or maybe two, so plan on getting two packs if you haven’t done this before and want a nice set of both hands and feet. Overall, these are more affordable and good inkless pads, but in general there is a steep learning curve to using inkless pads, so expect some waste.

These "inkless" pads actually have the ink on the other side making them very convenient to use as you don't end up having to clean ink off of fingers after use. It comes with 4 ink pads and 8 cards so for $9 that is a great value. The presentation itself is very plain as they are just put inside a plastic bag so if you are considering gifting these keep in mind that you will probably want to add these to a gift basket or something more presentable.

Well, I goofed up trying to print our first cat's paw prints. I used the ink side of the pad and managed to ink his paw and fur. He wasn't happy with the ink on his paws. I did like how these prints turned out, however. I then tried the other side which is the inkless side. That side was much neater to use but the print was too dark. This will take a little practice to perfect. I think it's difficult to get a pet to cooperate. Our next cat will be even more difficult to print, I do plan to ask my husband to help me with his prints. I think babies might be easier. The inkless pads are such a great idea, it is possible to make prints without getting any ink or paint on a baby's skin. This set is so handy with 4 inkless pads, you can practice until you get a perfect print.
