I got the version of the hammer with the needle, not because I thought the needle itself would be useful, but because the cap looked pointed in the picture and I thought it could be used to check a Babinski sign. Turns out that 1) the cap is flat, not like in the picture, and 2) the needle is located significantly off center in the handle and looks really weird. I've now removed the needle entirely.Otherwise the hammer works great. Excellent weight to it, feels like a good quality. We'll see if it holds up to use but I expect it to.
