It's the best baby gate I've installed, as it is solid and works perfectly. You just need to set it up correctly - make sure it is firmly in place, and then snip the zip ties. But if you screw up and need to re-set it (after snipping the zip ties), you'll quickly see that the gate will need to be fastened back as it was... but this is best done with a clamp - easy done. You can use the spare zip ties they provided to hold it fastened, or simply leave the clamps on as you set the whole unit in place.

After following the instructions, the gate wouldn’t unlock on the bottom lock and top lock wouldn’t latch at all.Seemed like a sturdy design too.Rather disappointed.

Love the sturdiness, door closes by it self and also has the option to use the pressure points or the screws. I had a bit trouble setting it up (I followed instructions- don't uses extension only on 1 side) , one of the extensions didn't fit in the door gate, I tried a second section and same result; so I had to leave the extensions only on one side; so far is working great.

Our stair opening is 40" which seems to be problematic opening size for this gate. While it "can fit", the gate is not safe with the included hardware. The only way for this to fit was to extend the threaded pieces way out to the point they were hardly engaged. With a hard bump, the gate came detached and fell. Luckily it was my wife that hit it and not my son. Also luckily I have access to design and 3d printing so I made some new spacers to fit in the wall cups (last photo). Possibly if you bought some aftermarket cups ("wall protectors") those could act as spacers. I gave this 3/5 because that definitely a safety concern the manufacturer did not address. Another thing they could have done was provide a table with your opening size and what combo of spacers to use, but that's easy enough to figure out with trial and error. The gate itself works good though.

The gate seems sturdy and well-made. I dropped a star for the following reason: The zip ties around the closure were supposed to allow for a gap. Once you tighten the gate, the gap is supposed to close in, making the zip ties fall (at which point you can cut them off). I knew this and was prepared for it. However, the closure had very little gap and was pretty much closed when I unboxed it. I went ahead and installed it by following along with a youtube video (paper instructions were useless), tightened the gate (finger tight as much as I could), and the gate worked like a dream. But to make sure, I tightened it even more with the provided wrench (there was a lot more to tighten). But then the gate wouldn't shut, as though it was now misaligned. I loosened the bolts a bit to my maximum hand strength, and it worked ok again. I've only had it up for a few days, and everything works as advertised. I'll check once a week to make sure the bolts don't loosen. As for the results, my very smart puppy (who has figured out every portable gate system to date, has yet to get through this one. I've watched him on camera, and as much as he tries to squeeze, shake and yell at this gate, it hasn't budged.

We have custom floating stairs so can’t mount anything to the railing or the wall and therefore need pressure-fitted gates. These come in two heights and with lots of adjustable parts to fit many sizes and configurations of stairs/railings.The pressure-fit adjusters come with cups (that can be both adhesive or screw-in) to hold them in place and keep from sliding if the gate is pushed on.We purchased a compatible extra-long pressure-fit extender from another company for one of the four corner adjusters because of our stairwell design and it worked easily.Gate comes with convenient feature where it will automatically close behind you if opened to 90 degrees, but will stay open if opened more than 90 degrees (which is convenient if you have to carry something with both hands and don’t have an extra hand to open the gate).Installation is incredibly easy and fast. Because they are pressure-fit are also very easy to move and reinstall (ie: if taking them to stay with friends/family or at a weekend property)These gates look great in our modern home and work well.

We ordered for our new home to help keep little grand children safe. I originally chole this gate because it would be wide enough to put in the hallway, but decided to put it at the top of the stairs using the two small inserts. It is perfect, and we have the two large inserts if needed. We ordered the wall Nannys that someone had suggested when I was reading reviews before I ordered. They are great as well so the walls don't get damaged. We were able to put the gate up pretty quick even though there are different depths on the different walls. Great purchase with very quick delivery
