I came on here to look to purchase another pair of these gloves and it told me I had last purchased them in July of 2016. 8 years of using them mostly for the BBQ. We peel off the corn husks, shuck oysters, pull the chicken off the beer can just a few of the ways we use these gloves. Keeps your fingers safe. The inside liner keeps the heat out longer than just silicone. Buying another pair.

I love these gloves. I never worry about burning my hands now. No more old pot holders for me. Silicon is really great.

The first thing I noticed when I put on these gloves is the thumb is too short and the webbing on all of the fingers is too high so it's impossible for your hand to fit securely in the glove. The palm and wrist areas need to be tighter so the fit is more like a glove than oven mitt. Also the description on Amazon is misleading. It says the gloves are heat resistant up to 475 degrees, but the paperwork that came with the gloves said heat resistent to 425 degrees. I could feel just a tiny bit of heat come through when handling a pan at 375 degrees for 10 seconds, but haven't tried it on anything over 400 degrees.I like that you can wear them on either hand, are washable and the soft lining inside is a plus. I think these gloves could be a hit if they redesign the shape so they fit more like a glove than mitt and offer them in a few different sizes. I won't send the gloves back and will continue to use them, but unless they change the design I cannot recommend them.

These seem to be excellent gloves for their purpose. As a shrunken old man with smallish arthritic hands they turned out to be a little too big and too stiff for me. They're a one-size product that will be fine for most men.This is a great company with a wonderful business philosopy. When the gloves didn't work for me I wrote to them with a couple of questions. They answered my questions and immediately refunded my money, the very next day. Read the card that accompanies these gloves if you buy them. If more companies could adapt these business beliefs we'd all be better off. Thank you, AYL.

Being used to the woven style of BBQ glove, there is the constant problem of washing after using to move things like smoked brisket and other large meats on the smoker. I've never tried silicon, but my wife lines her cookie sheets with silicon sheets, so why not give it a go? Well, after just one use, I'm sold, and never looking back! Not I can turn the food on smoker and grill without worry of burns from heat OR steam, and even moving stuff around on the grill that has been sauced up is not a worry. Simply wash your hands while wearing the gloves and your instantly ready to take a hot tray out of the oven. These fit me like they were made for me (I wear XL latex gloves) but my wife, who has much smaller hands has no problem using them as well. Very flexible, very protective and not slippery at all due to the heart shaped texture dots all over the outside. The bright yellow color is easily spotted in a dark cabinet, but my wife wishes they came in pink since the texture dots are heart shaped.

Best heat resistant gloves hands down. My dad and a few friends were impressed how well they were on the grill and smoker so they plan on getting a pair themselves. I was able to put my hand in the smoker to add more wood chips. Also was able to pick up a turkery that was just removed from the deep fryer . Never felt the heat . Grab the food of the grill directly and add your seasons at ease . Easy to wash . I leave my hand in the glove and wash outside only in sink with little soap. That way I don't get inside wet. The glove comes up pretty high up the arm for protection. I wish I bought this years ago. Aslo the company add a very kind thank you card for the purchase . Thanks again . Trust me you will love these gloves . I'm the neighborhood bbq king lol great gloves hands down !!

"YOU KNOW CHRISTMAS IS COMING WHEN MOM HAS A SECOND DEGREE BURN" . . . Yeah, I'm known for getting burned when baking. We won't talk about the year I caught a tube cake pan between my forearms as it slipped out of my hands while I was removing it from the oven. My husband got tired of being sent to buy burn cream and gauze so he gifted me with these gloves before the Christmas 2016 baking season.Yeah, they're a bit bulky and they take some getting used to but they're AMAZING! Preheat the oven but forgot you left a cookie sheet inside? No problem, reach in a pull it out. Need to change rack positions but your oven is pre-heated to 435? Not an issue, just grab and move them. Need to remove the chicken pot pie you baked in your cast iron skillet? Grab the skillet handle and go! They give you a firm grip when removing cookie sheets, cake pans, and skillets so that you'll not be juggling them and catching them with your forearms.You won't be using these while doing things that require dexterity - such as knife work - as they are a bit big and bulky but, frankly, that's not what they're designed to do. Both sides of the gloves are heat resistant so it doesn't matter which one you put on what hand. And many times I'll grab the glove and use it like a pot holder instead of slipping it on.So, now we're heading into the 2017 holiday season and I'm back here getting ready to buy two more pairs of these gloves to give as gifts. As I'm so happy with mine, thought I'd leave a review while I was at it.Wishing everyone a happy and burn free holiday season!
