The SCX10 has long been the RC platform of choice for scale trail enthusiasts. In 2022 Axial introduced the SCX10 III Base Camp 4WD RTR and gave cost-conscious crawling fans the chance to enjoy its performance and realism. Now comes a new way to experience SCX10-based adventure — the SCX10 III Base Camp Builder's Kit.
Kit building is a hobby perfectly suited for Axial enthusiasts, many of whom are passionate about tinkering with and modifying their rigs. There's no better starting point for your adventure build than the Base Camp Kit. It's a classic crawling platform that carries a wealth of proven Axial quality and innovation.
Base Camp Kit advantages go well beyond the satisfaction of putting together your own rig. The assembly process makes you an expert on its engineering and a pro at maintenance and repairs. You're also able to express your individuality by choosing a body style you like and finishing it however you wish. By adding your personal preference in tires, wheels, and electronics, you create a custom crawler inside and out. Compared to buying an RTR rig that comes fully equipped, the kit ensures you won't pay for anything that you may not use.
Better still, the Base Camp Kit isn't just an unassembled version of the Axial RTR rig. It's an improved Base Camp. The transmission can be externally locked in standard 4WD, but it also has an optional, servo-actuated dig feature

great build definitely a bit confusing on the instructions because it’s only diagrams and not in English wording! the screws are not label. You have to figure out which screw is for what part and also the offer for the body has expired in the year 2023 that was supposed to be included with this item But still in all is a pretty good vehicle took me three days to put together, but it came out very well. I do recommend this item!👍🚙

Was fun to assemble however they should of sorted and labeled the screws as I spent alot of time getting the correct screws for the correct parts, also would be nice if the plastics were tapperd to make it easy to thread the screws in, that was a big enough pain I probably wont build another kit, is great quality however you still end up spending more money on this then an ready to run

I'm glad I chose this over the aging Enduro HD 2 builder's kit. Lots of nice upgrades come as standard with this kit, compared to the RTR Base Camp. If you want a straight axle truck, this is the kit for you.

I love Axial trucks and this kit is no exception. The quality of the parts is second to none, and the directions were very in depth and easy to follow meaning wether you've got a fleet of trucks or you're looking for your first one I highly recommend this kit.
