It is the real v1 transmitter as far as I can tell. It's super cheap and if you by a v1 scx24 as a parts rig you might have a working receiver/esc but it doesn't come with the remote, this is the perfect replacement! At $15 it's cheaper than a used one ebay! Not only do I not regret it, I bought a 2nd one! This is a remote for the v1 (black sticker) electronics of an axial scx24 (this version of electronics is out of production on newer scx24s) I don't belive it will work with any other RC receivers.

Wife and daughter got me a Axial SCX 24 that I love and have been building for a while u till one day it quit working after much headache trying to find the culprit I learned it was the controller. I ordered this replacement and was crawling once again. Build quality is good, inexpensive and easy to connect to truck.
