Before and after photos. Obviously a lot more work went into this Then just polishing. This tool however is one important part of the process. It was very economical. With the adjustable speed it handles wonderfully and has good performance. I am pleased with this purchase and expect that this tool will last me many years to come. just a sidenote, this is a rattle can paint job. I’ve never done anything like this before and watched a number of YouTube videos to gain some confidence.

Opened this today and went to work compounding and polishing two vehicles that I’ve neglected for a few years. This performed very well with a slow speed to spread the compounds and a high speed to do the polishing. It’s not too loud and sounds like any power tool should. It operated smoothly with little vibration and again what you’d expect from an orbital polisher. It’s more than powerful enough for its purpose. It’s easy to control and it’s not too heavy allowing me to use with one hand when needed. I really don’t know what else I could want from a polisher. The pads worked great and made it through use on two vehicles and are still in great shape. I thought about purchasing a cordless polisher but the cord was never a nuisance and I don’t have to worry recharging and battery life. I’d recommend it and am glad that I didn't overspend on a more expensive polisher.

It works really well. The only issue I had with it was that when I was about three quatres of the way doing my car, the polishing pad split on me. The Velcro part came off the pad which scratched my paint a little bit. I did manage to fix the paint but I had to go buy a better pad to finish the job.

The buffer polisher arrived quickly and seems like good quality. It has lots of power and is not too heavy or too noisy. Only issue so far was that after about 20 minutes the yellow buffer pad started to separate from the backing. Contacted customer service and they were very friendly and apologized for the problem and offered to send 3 new buffer pads. Their site acknowledges the problem with the original pads and says they will replace them with a newer version. I received the replacement pads today but they are identical to the originals. I will try them and see if they are any better.Update: I used the new replacement pads and after 45 minutes of use the yellow pad began separating from the backing. I had to finish job with the orange pad and so far it seems to be better. Unless the design is changed to prevent premature separation I wouldn't recommend these pads.

Used it with some cutting compound to buff out some paint swirls on a Benz. Cleared up some old headlights. Going to try it on an old oxidized truck to see if I can make it look a little better. If I remember to take before and after pics - I will upload them later. I uploaded the pictures from trying to buff out this 91 Mitsubishi. Used with cutting compound and the buffer i was able to restore some shine to this old truck that has been sitting out in the weather for the past 20 years. The picture of the shell shows a corner I had not completed yet. This polisher cut the time by way more than half. Never got hot and worked it hard for a few hours with just a few minutes for a break.

I’ve never used a buffer before. Ever. But my truck needed it badly. I had never had it done in the 9 yrs I owned the truck. It’s black paint and scratched to hell. Figured I’d rather learn how to do it instead of paying big money every time. Checked out the reviews and this buffer seems to be the one for me. Dual action is allegedly the way to go and the price and reviews were great. I watched several YouTube videos to get a feel for how people showed how to use it. Seemed fairly straightforward so I gave it a go. Very impressed with results. The attached photos show the before and after of one section of drivers door. The finished photo looks a lot better than it does with naked eye. I’ve still got some scratches in there but this is a vast improvement. It’s fairly easy to operate. Just do small manageable sections and work slow. Watching the videos definitely helped but this product operated without any issues at all. I didn’t think it was as loud as others say but I wore ear protection because I always do for mowing lawn and things…its just wise. The buffer is much heavier that it looks like it would be but the handle help heft and hold. If I had any complaint at all I’d say the speed settings dial doesn’t click into each position.. but it didn’t seem to vibrate itself out of position so I guess it’s not a big deal. Certainly would recommend it to anyone looking to buy. Don’t be afraid of trying one. Your not going to burn through your paint. I think you’d have to hold it in one spot for a long time to do that kind of damage.

I know it's very early to do a review as it only arrived today (September 30, 2023), but I put it straight to work. I spent close to 4 hours washing and compounding my 11 year old minivan, it was in pretty rough shape as it was never taken care of for 9 years and was gifted to me by my daughter after my car got destroyed by a tornado. After a lot of mechanical, body work and headlight restoration, getting the paintwork up together was the final stage. I did a fair bit of research on different random orbit polishers from different manufacturers and decided to give this one a try because of the good reviews on YouTube. I originally looked at the Porter Cable DA polisher but at almost 3 times the cost and 1/2 amp less power than this one, I decided against it. I have never used a random orbital polisher before so didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I didn't know that I would like and found this one was also on sale. I like that it comes with a spare set of brushes, 3 pads, 1 each for cutting, polishing and waxing, and they seem to be of decent quality. I used the orange cutting pad with Maguiars Ultimate Compound after washing, decontaminating and drying the paint. I also used a couple of squirts of water on the pad from time to time just to stop it from drying out and to keep it lubricated. The results were amazing as it removed 90% of the scratches and swirl marks and all of the oxidation, tomorrow I will use Maguiars Ultimate Polish to remove the last traces of scratches and swirl marks prior to waxing. The paint went from very rough to silky smooth with just the compound so I can't wait to see what happens when I finish it off tomorrow. The machine is very well balanced, low vibration, fairly quiet and has lots of power (5 Amp, 600 Watt) and I found that the sweet spot for compounding was at speed level 4. I tried to stall out the machine but couldn't even with a lot of pressure put on it, it just kept on spinning and oscillating. I found that I basically used the front handle just to guide the machine as the machine was very capable of doing all the work for me. I then washed the pad after I finished in warm water with a little Dawn dish detergent, attached it to a 5 inch drill mounted backing plate and spun all the excess water out and it came out like it was brand new again. My experience with this machine today has been nothing but positive and I found it very easy to use, this coming from a 62 year old man that says something. I will update in a month or so after I use it a few more times (weather permitting in Canada). Would I recommend it, so far yes.Update, October 7, 2023.I decided to give the van a follow up compound and polish but roughly 3/4 through doing my van the yellow pad separated from the backing cloth and shot down the driveway with the backing cloth still attached to the backing plate. Thankfully I was working on the sliding door so there was no weight on the pad from the machine (no damage to the paint), so I switched to the orange polishing pad to finish the job. After I finished I went wash the orange polishing pad and noticed that the backing cloth was separating from the pad. I contacted Avid Power directly (via email) and informed them of what had happened and their response was awesome. They appolagized for the issue and said they would send out replacement pads immediately and that I should have them on my doorstep in roughly 15 day's. They also informed me that once you register your DA polisher (which I did) the machine is covered under warranty for two years. This is customer service at it's finest and can't wait to get the new improved pads. I will update again when I receive the replacement pads.Update October 23, 2023.The new replacement pads arrived today (via expedited shipping) and they have put a hole through the center of two of the pads and it looks like they have changed the adhesive that holds the pad to the backing material, the orange pad looks the same as the original that came with the polisher. They kept to their word and this shows me the dedication to their warranty and customer service, thank you Zoey for all your help. I can definitely recommend this polisher to anyone who wants to clear up any paint defects and clean their vehicles paint.

If I were to recommend a product to a friend, the three things I will look for:1. A good quality product.2. Warranty3. Customer ServiceThis product far exceeded my expectations on all three of these which is very rare. I received the polisher, opened the box and I can tell it's a solid build. I used it on two of my cars and it worked like a champ. I used the pads that came along and didn't have a single issues with those. I can tell why this polisher has thousands of positive feedback from various customers.I opened the box, and got a card to register my product for 6 months additional warranty on top of 2 year warranty that it already came with. I registered it and now I have 2 and a half year warranty on it, which is not common even with many named brands. The customer service rep was friendly and within hours sent me a confirmation email for extra warranty. I was impressed with their service so far.Next day, I used it for the first time. During my first use I broke the handle on the polisher. This was due to mishandling on my end, and I couldn't use it anymore without it. I reached out to the customer service again to order the handle and pay for it as long as I receive the original part. To my surprise, the reply I got was they have shipped out a new handle to me without any charge. No questions asked and $0.5 days later, I received the part in mail. I opened the box, and it turned out I was sent a wrong part. I was sent a pad base plate, instead of the handle that I needed. I reached out to their customer service again, offering to send the base plate back and ask them to send me the handle. They got back to me with another tracking number of handle that was shipped out at no charge without asking to return the base plate that was already sent to me.I am glad that I picked this product and already personally recommended to a lot of friends. There are some other similar polishers that look the same and are few bucks cheaper than this, but it worth paying a bit extra and have a piece of mind that this company will go out of its way to help you if you have any issue with their product.
